You do understand that belugas are social animals, don't you? No doubt that this whale leads a very difficult life since he spends his whole life almost certainly in complete isolation except for when the species that ruined his life throws a fucking ball.
I don’t like how he was brought up at all and am fully aware of how social the species is. He is likely isolated from the rest of his type and cannot relate or probably find a mate. But given that, I prefer that he isn’t dead, that he’s persevered and still finds a way, even if it is mooching off humans and satiating even some of his social needs via an unnatural force.
I think there are some good people on earth. Whether by nature or nurture I think most people suck. Look at the shit we do to those that are weaker than us. It’s not good bob.
I’m sorry that that’s been your experience. I’ve seen way, way more ugliness and vicious human behavior than I care to share. Still, even though human’s are naturally wired to self-preserve, I believe in the inherent goodness of people and see much, much more of it on a daily basis than I do the bad stuff.

This is a philosophical argument that has been going on for as long as man has been around. Is man inherently good or bad? It’s not one that will be settled here. IMO man is bad the way we treat our most vulnerable illustrates that. That doesn’t mean I “need to seek help” that does make me lazy. In terms of the environment and non-human life, which is the subject at hand here, humans certainly do suck as a whole and in general. We're an invasive species of the highest order that is speeding toward a ruined ecosystem that will have to rehabilitate itself after extinguishing us. That beluga whale is merely one tiny example of how we're not inherently "good."
I am confused by what you’re saying. Are you saying your counter argument to me saying “humans are bad which is proven by the way we treat our most vulnerable” is that’s what our society prioritizes? Well how could society be bad but what makes it up good? I mean the two people who are attempting to tell man is good have called me crazy and that I need to seek help because they disagree with my opinion.

It was out of line to say “get help” as I don’t think you’re maladjusted. I said it out of frustration for what I see as pessimistic and lazy judgments on human nature.
