Your approach is to justify your unwarranted fears with fantasies of being a badass with an AR protecting your family from "them." I hope you, your wife, or your kid don't die from your toys bc statistically that's more likely to happen than you living out your home defense fantasy. Again, seek help.
Once again, you are applying your own beliefs and mindset onto another person without having any information or facts. This is not how people have discussions. Now I understand you are not trying to have a discussion. However, I still have to point out that your form of “discussing”, which is really just attempting to tell your point the loudest, will always be doomed to failure if you have no knowledge of the subject that you’ve stumbled into.
I think your classifying every gun owner as a irresponsible owner that has a micro penis is way out of line. I grew up with gun in the house that we hunted with and took care of pests on the farm. I now have guns in my house which include pistols, rifles, shotguns, and even a AR. They are always locked up unless they are being used or cleaned. I understand your argument and I agree there should be more steps in obtaining a firearm, but to classify all gun owners as bad owners is terrible.
Your reasoning is flawed, so I can apply that too everything in the world then. Every driver is a safe driver till they arnt, Ban cars that go over 15. Every dog owner was a responsible one until their dog bit someone, kill a dogs.
For some reason “if your wife needs to use it” killed me. Just like my wife would kill me if she ever had to use an AR.
Literally every gun owner said this until they did. Every parent said this until a kid killed themselves with one.
Hello friends I'm worried about an extremely unlikely worst-case scenario home invasion so I choose to have a platform not designed for home defense but for maximum mayhem because I don't understand appropriate response and don't really care about hitting neighbors or children with my 3000fps misses
. My shotgun was created to kill ducks. What kills more people every year? Car crashes or guns? If your anti gun that’s fine and like I said before I think we need more restrictions or a tougher process to obtain them, but I see no reason people can’t have a firearm to use for sport or self defense. My family has had guns for at least 3 generations and no one had died from them yet. I just don’t see how people can try to impose their ideas and beliefs on people and think it’s fair. I’m gonna stop debating you cause no one is a winner in this, so let’s get back to titties and weird shit,
I keep a Kia Sorrento under my bed in case someone breaks in the house. It’s reliable and an automatic transmission so if the wife needs to use it to defend our home via vehicular manslaughter we should be okay!
You do know that you can’t just kill people in defense of property, right? Burglaries are down over 35% in the US since 2008. Almost 2/3 are done by people known to the victim. Less than 15% of burglars are armed with guns and less than 10% get violent with victims. And 2/3 occur during the day while no one is home.
Even if you are dealing with a home invader, your goal should be to (1) scare them away, then if that doesn’t work (2) incapacitate, and then as a last resort and only if absolutely necessary (3) kill. The fact that there was a post above that was like “the whole point of defending your house with an AR is to kill” is pretty sad.
Americans have been defending their homes for centuries with firearms. The firearms have just been evolving.
