Growing up it was made clear to us in school that the Peshtigo fire was greater than the FIB fire that happened at the same time
This is accurate as fuck for bi girls. Everytime, they talk themselves down about their experience with men, then next thing you know you're laying there like "so you go to a Rachel Starr class on dick riding in prep for this or what's up?"
Does anybody have the Demi Moore Gerald picture from way back in the day? I can’t find that thread anywhere
8 years ago I served him and like his managers/friends or something (4 people total) at a bar and lounge. It seemed like a meeting, but like they were all very close with each other so idk. I was a pretty big Usher fan. Most famous person I’ve ever been up close to. Still to this day. (I lived in LA for like 5 years before moving back to home) I was bartending on the lounge side for brunch. I would get the whole brunch to myself. Lots of work. Had to hustle, but Huge money day for me. Usually $300-400. From early brunchers and then Saturday day drinkers in the afternoon. Usher’s team rented out the ENTIRE LOUNGE (10 bar seats, 5 lounge booths) for the entirety of brunch, including coming in an hour early 8am-12pm (we were normally open at 9am on saturdays. I was excite. They were there at 7:45am. We let them in because it’s fucking Usher yo. They stayed until 11am (around 11:30 is usually when brunch starts to die down and I can collect my breath). They ordered one fucking thing. ONE fucking thing. Tipped $5. Usher never acknowledged my presence at any point, not even when I introduced myself to the table and asked them for their drink and food order, of servicing the table (which consisted of me bringing them 20 water refills). broke my heart. decided then and there I was going to quit bartending forever... Which I did like 4 years later. Lol
I still have a couple of Usher songs on one of my Spotify playlists. fuck it, the man made good music. but I cry evry tim
If it makes you feel better, my wife ran a rolling rack into him and busted his leg backstage at an awards show. This was about 5 years ago.
wtf were they doing the whole time - that sounds like my literal worst nightmare being at brunch where everyone is drinking waters and not eating. As either a member of the party or any person on service staff.
We charge a minimum for any rentals and even if they don’t buy anything the staff still gets their service charge percentage on the minimum - specifically to avoid these type of incidents.
Seemed like they were talking about projects. People were taking notes. But they also seemed tight knit. Once I sensed his vibe after a few check ins, I didn’t want to annoy him so I gave them their space unless I saw something needed to be re-filled. His people were kind and gracious to me. At the end they just got up and left. I had to remind someone as they were leaving that they hadn’t closed out their tab. She apologized, and paid even though it wasn’t even her food. Weird situation. She was very nice though. I’m sure my gm charged them for the rental. And yea standard was sliding scale of minimum fee/deposit and minimum final total + minimum +25% gratuity. But it was last minute and it was Usher so we both geeked out and went with it. I was legit excited when he told me about it the afternoon before. Oh well. I’ve also made ton more than I should have on other private parties so whatevs, but that and him completely ignoring my presence the whole time really made me sour at the time. Prob wouldn’t even have cared about the money at all if I had gotten even a brief convo out of him.
