One time some chick— from northern Italy— kept intentionally saying my name wrong thinking it was hilarious. At some point she said something about disliking southern Italy. So drunk me called drunk her Sicily and she absolutely lost her mind at me. Throwing food and drinks and trying to fight me. Pretending to cry. Her friends tried to calm her down. I could not comprehend how she could intentionally mispronounce my name all night then have the audacity to lose it on me for calling her Sicily. She basically said I was likening her to sewer trash or something. While still trying to claw my eyes out. Was super weird. and funny? Anyway shithead Italians are so racist they even hate the kind of sort of darker other Italians from the south so be careful.
I know a guy who grew up in Austria who always talked shit about Italians saying their men were pussies and the women always wanted them to come to Italy to fuck them because the Italian men didn't know how too I'm pretty sure that whole region is just racist as fuck against each other

"Race" is a fiction and means different things when defined by different people. We say "Caucasian" or "white" and mean one thing. People living in said region of Europe probably have a whole different hierarchy. There's divisions in "white" for them that an American may not recognize. Race is shorthand for "prevailing local stereotypes based on visible characteristics" basically.

The beaches there are mostly stone and rocks so there is much less sand in the water. You can see almost 15ft down in the Adriatic. Much cleaner fish and they know how to cook them perfectly.
