What kind of whip you push
Careful, those are the most stolen cars in Philadelphia.
Morning guys. What does everyone have planned for the weekend?
Would you rather be guaranteed a parking space 500 yards away or gamble on a coin flip of best spot by the door or 1 mile away every day?
Updated the guarantee distance.
250 yards easily
this is a really bad would you rather
Just make a selection and move on
I wouldn't flip a coin if 1 mile was the option. 500 easy.
How did people hear about release dates for big artists and albums during the 60s 70s etc and how did, say college students, hear big hits? Record stores and record players or hearing them at parties and in dorms?
Yes I didn't figure that at the moment
And youd eventually get the record or cassette for full albums then
I was watching part of O Brother Where Art Thou the other day, and there's something about that time period and even a few decades before that just facinates me. Specifically rural life. like the radio was a huge benefit, but I always get to daydreaming about it when I'm driving though nowhere. The isolation is still real, but very different. But music is an interesting one. My granddad had Elvis play their high school gym. I can't imagine.
i am sure i would hate it almost immediately but the idea of being on a college campus and going to games in that era always has intrigued me for some odd reason
got a Florida toll ticket back on August 1st.....they just cashed the check...
What is everyones favorite non-NSFW Reddit.
Those are a couple of my favorites.
Going to the soda fountain for a nice malt to celebrate a W vs. blacking out at Pavlovs would be a stark difference
There’s a guy on my team in his late 30s/early 40s who’s not only going to a Slipknot concert, but is going to a signing of some bottle of booze they released.
It was a big deal to the white trash in Iowa. They dropped it to coincide with their show at the Iowa state fair.
‘It’s football season so tailgating for the VT game.
Golfing tomorrow morning. Watch the Husk-Buff game after that. Not sure yet on Sat. night. Watch F1 race Sunday morning then NFL. Excited for a relaxing/enjoyable weekend.
Thanks for asking. You?
Having family over to the house for aunt’s birthday dinner tonight.
Taking daughter to the park and then to the Greek festival for some delicious food tomorrow morning/early afternoon. Going to watch my university’s shitty football team play a shitty game and then probably watch my university’s main rival’s excellent football team play in an interesting game. Probably drink some beers and grill some steaks as well.
Sunday taking my daughter to her first Panthers game, so that should be interesting. Pretty full weekend, but should be a good one.
Just figured out that Jenny from Forrest Gump, Brad Pitt's ex-wife in Moneyball, and Claire Underwood from House of Cards is the same actress (Robin Wright).
Blew my mind.
Unfortunately I have to stay back in Baton Rouge because of a work emergency. I'll likely do a bit of cooking for the two big games tomorrow and have some folks over. Sunday is pretty wideopen for me. So who knows.
you just now found that out?
she’s also princess buttercup in the princess bride
You'll never guess who her husband was until 2010.
(was) sean penn
I've obviously seen all those movies/shows but didn't realize they were all her until now
Also never seen Princess Bride
What an awful childhood you must have had
you should fix that this weekend
Not likely with all the football going on but I'll put it on the ol' list to check out
fuck after that abomination last night i forgot nfl was back
The game was terrible
Speaking of terrible
I love almost all of the Cars earlier stuff
My favorite being Bye Bye Love
It's not terrible
It was brutally boring to watch. Only reason I care about NFL Sundays is because of my fantasy teams. Couldn't care less who wins the games. RedZone channel is the real champ.
fuck that noise, I love indoor plumbing too much
Oh dude I could never go back. In the south without AC? Lolnope. I just find it "charming" to some degree (minus the bigotry and such).
You really wanna watch Nebraska lose to Colorado though?
Charming really isn't the right word. It's more difficult to fathom living like that, as a spoiled millennial. But the whole living off the land thing is charming, I suppose.
