Employers forcing social situations in the name of bonding and team-building is the bane of my existence.
This is what we've talked about before and what we're thinking we'd like to do. I don't really want to do a full on destination wedding but she hasn't ruled that out yet so it's an option too
Question: Is the statement: "Students in Local School A earned more than 93 million in scholarships last year, which is more than either Local School B or Local School C earned" A) Mostly a brag B) Mostly a dig C) 50/50 D) 100% a brag E) 100% a dig
I kinda know the feeling bro. Dated a girl for ten years until I dumped her. Also congrats ur fiancée is hawt
If we're talking about weddings, what is everyone's favorite groomsmen gift that they have received? Most threads on the topic are from 2010, and now that I'm in my 30s a lot of those replies aren't relevant. Best groomsman gift I've received were AirPods, but I have an absurd amount of groomsmen (to match my BFF) and that's more than I'd like to spend. I'm currently thinking engraved cufflinks for each of them.
The most useful groomsmen gifts I’ve gotten are a nice gym bag. He got it monogrammed, which is a nice touch. Also an engraved double walled/ insulated water bottle. Cuff links are always nice too.
I, too, like the cooler idea, but one of my groomsmen did that for the groomsmen gift at his wedding. It's probably the longest lasting and most useful groomsmen gift I've received.
Is your BFF (or you) crafty? I use my wife’s Cricut to make vinyl wraps/decals for stuff. You could get items then customize that way.
Im partial to the gift I just gave my 7 groomsman. Posted about it earlier somewhere on tmb...maybe the tydefan leather thread, idk. I gave them each a GC to a leathersmith which happens to be local to me. I know that different people have different wallet preferences so instead of picking out a specific wallet, I gave them the $$ amount equal to a wallet and said pick one or get a leather accessory that you like.
I gave my groomsmen a framed printing of a historic gameday program for their favorite college team. Here's the link, but unfortunately it looks like this guy ran into licensing issues as only a handful seem to be available for sale now. Everyone liked it though, and I thought it was cool and different. http://www.historicfootballposters.com/
JeremyLambsFace got me a leather engraved flask that was really cool. i asked for a shakeweight which he selfishly refused but it was still a nice gift
TBH I just had my 5th anniversary and can’t remember what I did. I feel like it was expensive booze, but idk.
This reminds me. Custom make them drinkware and phone cases featuring their CFB rival and a TMB poster from that fanbase.
All my gifts were personalized. I didn't do like a set of things. Two guys got customized flasks, one got a decanter set, one got books, and my brother got a machete (he's a surveyor).
Pro tip for all of you... If you’re going to present a “development guidelines” class and part of it is “always use Arial font”... Make sure you’re using Arial and not Calibri in the doc you’re currently presenting
best gifts I've received align with what others have said: canvas cooler engraved with initials gym bag with initials cocktail glasses with intials (noticing a trend? haha) I'll add something different though, one really cool gift my cousin got us was a .50 cal bullet bottle opener. These guys were on shark tank and support US troops so even has a feel good effect - https://bottlebreacher.com/ Pretty cool piece to keep on my bar, and they have all types of designs
Sometimes I’ll say something like “people are all pretty much the same,” and then I am reminded how incredibly wrong I am when I say that.
i mean i've never shot a .50 cal and not a rah-rah NRA member, still can be a cool piece to open up a beer bottle on gameday
30 year old insult. Well played sir. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1170795-boston-red-sox-remember-that-guy-nick-esasky#slide5
