I only saw the last 2 pages, but I didn’t see a single post that fit this description. I did see several that would make a libertarian do a double take.
Randomly thought how fucked up it was for Mel Tucker to jack off while talking on the phone to someone who has made sexual assault education her life’s mission. Like I feel like you could do a psychological profile on how fucking deranged that is and what motivated him to do it
The naked lady thread is basically like when you were 13 and went to google and just typed in “big boobs”
Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo UPDATE: RARE INSURANCE WIN Got claims in mail from insurance company and the claims indicated I should have only paid a $30 copay, not $700. Explained this to the dermatologist office staff. They told me politely to fuck off I'm wrong. Called health insurance company, they were excellent and confirmed. I asked if they could help with explaining this to the doctor office. They called doctor office, explained, then conferenced me in, and the office confirmed they'll refund the $700. 10 days later, BOOM refund just hit.
Stupid discussion with friends yesterday: With so much music out in the universe, how confident are you that you've found your favorite song already? And I don't mean "has your favorite song been made yet?" either. Like have you honed in on the genres/sound/algorithm you like so much you've certainly found what would be your favorite song even if you had listened to every song ever made so far?
I can’t even nail down my favorite song consistently. It changes fairly regularly amongst 5-7 songs but most often I’ll claim Going to California, Mayonnaise, or Black, but there are several others in the mix
It's been the same since I was about 5 years old in the early 90s: Informer by Snow Nothing comes close.
I'm not sure who is joking and who is serious, but that's the fun part about music I guess This came up because one of our buddies moved to Germany and has fallen in love with German music. He contends that he'll never have a favorite song that isn't in a language he speaks but as he learns German there are some climbing the list
Well three guys named songs by Steely Dan, Talking Heads and Paul Simon (all objectively great artists), while the others said Lee Greenwood and David Hasselhoff
Me: God Only Knows by The Beach Boys dump: Courtesy of the Red White and Blue ohhaithur: What is real and what is fake?!
Having a favorite song doesn't answer the question though. We've heard like 0.001% of all songs ever made and while 99.9% are probably shit, there's a chance there's some eye-opening song/subgenre we'll never hear
no one is answering your original query because it sounds like some shit you’d discuss at a Whammy Business dinner party
In the spirit of the question, there is a greater than 80% chance I haven't heard my all time favorite song yet. because I'm 51 years old and don't actively seek out new (to me or in general) music on the regular basis, there's less than 1% chance I will stumble upon my favorite song due to the sheer volume of stuff out there. out of what I have heard in my lifetime, there are a few contenders for the placeholder top spot though
WAS THAT SO HARD? I've been trying to expand more, especially to other cultures. Some Mexican rock, KPop, and reggaeton has entered my sphere recently and I tend to agree that I kept myself too narrow
I’ve listened to some music in other languages but wasn’t really feeling most of those I’ve sampled many different types of music in English and have listened to music without lyrics but prefer with. I feel like there’s a decent chance that I’ve heard my favorite song that has been released to this point
got a new car and was messing around with the sirius subscription that you get with it. put on chris stapleton radio and enjoyed it. had everything from bluegrass to rock to pop to blues. heard some stuff i normally wouldnt seek out/listen to a lot of. like a lot of bob dylan and idk how anyone enjoys listening to him that is a terrible singing voice
guy I used to share an office with is 10 years older than me and exclusively listens to music from the mid-60's through the 70s. I'd ask him why he doesn't listen to anything past then and he stated "I'm enjoy the catalogs of the artists I like, ain't got time for new stuff". Thought it was kinda silly and closeminded but damn pretty much every playlist I build is populated with familiar songs and artists.
every now and then I'll grab a song or two from Meatball. He and Kendall listen to a lot of current rap. Kendall played a song in the car yesterday called "Heat Stick" that I liked. Most of the time, I have no idea who they listen to because they are usually rocking earbuds or headphones
