Anyone else associate numbers you have to memorize or plug in with sports? For example I just did a 2FA with 37 and my first thought was Shaun Alexander. I memorize my CC numbers often times as a series of players, things like that.
I still remember a friend's childhood number because it was "Lance Parrish lunch." 13 for Lance's number and 85 cents was the cost of school lunch.
I don't know if it took place this year or not but I hate that I had to miss the TMB Secret Santa this year. Had too much going on with starting a new job (has been an absolute clusterfuck) and buying a new home (my first home). The TMB Secret Santa is absolutely one of my favorite things I do each holiday season.
Couldnt sleep last night and rewatched the 30 for 30 on Bill McCartney's Colorado teams of the late 80s/early 90s. Loved those teams growing up and was so happy to see them beat ND in 1990. Now looking back on it, it was the most undeserving National Championship I've ever seen. Shouldve started the year 0-4, had the 5th down against Mizzou, Bienemy with four fumbles against Nebraska, phantom clip on Rocket's punt return TD, etc.
one of my coworkers went to the packers-titans game in green bay this year. he was like "the drinking culture there is wild." apparently mixed drinks beyond like a rum and coke aren't a thing there. he tried to order a spanish coffee and they didn't know wtf he was talking about. you get beer or you get liquor. or both.
He should’ve ordered a Wisconsin Old Fashioned. And first DUI’s in Wisconsin are civil offenses rather than misdemeanors.
Update: wife and I were splitting a piece of apple pie. I made a comment about not getting the cheddar cheese on apple pie shtick. She agreed, and also mentioned putting salt on watermelon. She said, "I didn't even swallow." My response of, " Yeah, I'm very aware" was NOT met with a positive look.
my friend's daughter got an xbox series x for christmas. she's like 10 and loves madden. i'm going to get my ass kicked at madden by a 10 year-old in the near future.
I think the worst thing about shift work and working overnights is that I'll sleep like shit during one stretch and then struggle to get back to normal when done, then it's the exact opposite when the next set of overnights arrive. I try very hard to keep a similar, low key routine but it just seems like a crapshoot. Not a fan
Mine’s an Arrested Development deep cut, but there are a ton of Simpsons related ones. I have no data, ‘‘twas truly a random thought
I've never watched a Minecraft or Pokemon video in my life but Youtube wont stop trying to shove them up my ass at every turn. No amount of "Not Interested" or "Don't Recommend Channel" will stop the onslaught.
The toxic nature of this board when it was created has made me unbeatable when it comes to other arguments on the internet. Imagine trying to out toxic me in a tic tok thread.
I seem to have made some mistakes recently with my Twitter algorithm while I was conducting research for a project. Now all my email notifications are tweets from older woman and are pornographic in nature. Can some tell me how to fix that?
It’s weird to me that I wanna go back to work tomorrow. Been off 2 1/2 weeks give or take and was a complete degenerate I only like being half a degenerate Is blind dog alive
I know to expect clickbait from Yahoo but wtf, it said completely see through and I get this nonsense Is this the Middle Ages? https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/heidi-klum-wore-completely-see-233000316.html
Boomer parent story - I was talking to my mom last night. I set her up w an AppleTv. She can finally navigate it pretty well. Only issue is she cant see the titles on the tv from her couch so well. So she'll go to NF/HBOMax/wherever on her laptop to decide what she wants to watch then just search for it on TV. Apparently she keeps a To-Watch list on a notepad of movies and shows. She has lost that notepad and is frustrated. I told her there are show and movie tracker apps she could use, and can 'favorite' shows and movies on all the streaming apps. She said she doesnt want to use them because he might lose a password or the tracking app might get deleted. I mean - losing a notepad would never happen, right??
Is her issue that she can't "surf" the channels because of her eyesight? Or that she knows what she wants to watch but has a hard time navigating to it. If it's the latter, I've found the voice controls to be decent on the Apple TV. There might be some accessibility options in the Apple TV as well -- Apple is usually really good with that kind of stuff.
Eyesight. She cant see the titles from her couch when looking for something to watch. Once she knows what she wants, she can find it. She's complained some apps have a really small font. I cant remember which. She has a big ass TV too. Im more laughing at using a pen and paper to keep track. She's come a long way to be somewhat functionally technology literate, but will still do stuff like that. She keeps a written list of all books she reads too. When she tells me about a book I can hear here flipping though pages to find. Cant get her to use goodreads either.
Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye of the Avengers) is in critical condition from getting hit by a snow plow possibly? ‘23 is off to a morbid start
