He started around 9:20 am the next day. That should have probably given him enough time to do it. This tells me that the dude thought, ‘March, Arizona.’ And didn’t realize that being at 9k above sea-level to start means he is starting in weather that’s akin to NYC that time of year. Sounds like an amateur idiot that figured he was in good shape and completely underestimated that the hike might be 3k feet uphill but is probably 4x that in terms of distance with switchbacks and before you know you have a lot longer ‘walk’ the first day and the second day completely underestimate the weather and was going solo so he rolled his ankle and that shit isn’t going to be easy to go down (they mentioned he hurt his leg, that’s my guess).
I agree, I usually leave early as well, but anything before 10 is perfectly fine. Person, hiking alone, at 10k+ feet in winter is a dumbass tho. Unless you are super experienced. (Or took necessary accommodations) Things happen, so don’t do them two days in a row lol
At one of the nicer restaurants in Sarah Palin’s shit hole town. Some dude requested A1 for his filet mignon. The fuck…
Some asshole boomer was really pissing me off tonight, so I wrote a short story about our failure of a hookup instead of engaging further. It was a fun exercise for me, but maybe it sucks. Whatever:
Haha. I’m good. I ended up deleting it myself around 4a when I woke up to take a leak. I’m on my last strike due to other drunk posts when I lose patience with the chuds. It tends to cause issues. I was also unhappy with the work overall after sobering up a bit. Now completely sober, I regret that. Seeing the response to my poorly written gay literotica would have made this morning much better.
Just attended a birds aren't real rally. Last day before spring break so it was good to see some activity on campus
Currently watching Hook and I always forget how old they made Maggie Smith look. She was in her mid 50s but she looks 90.
Not sure if anyone follows the Iditarod (we used to have a good Dallas Seavey following after he was on that reality show), but the race is going on now. https://iditarod.com/race/2022/standings/ Dallas is in second, has won 5 of the last 7 years (best ever). Brent Sass who’s in first is no joke though. Multiple times he could’ve/should’ve won if not for back luck/technicalities. Really cool to see a young rookie chick doing so well in Hanna Lyrek. ~3 days left for the top mushers.
