When my dad visited earlier this summer he took out about 18 in 36 hours. They’re starting to come back again though.

A dog escaped its crate at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport, and evaded capture for three weeks before being safely returned to its owner.

I’m imagining this like a Home Alone movie where bumbling airport security can’t get the clever dog.

 

I was walking my dog next to a soccer field yesterday. Headphones in, totally zoned out. A soccer ball comes rolling into my left field of vision. I stick out my leg for the stop without thinking. But I'm wearing a 20lb weight vest and shoes with no grip on the bottom. I make the stop but tip over and totally eat it on the ground. Knee and hands all skinned up today.

But I delivered the kick back straight on a line.

Tons of his comedy is based on "life experiences" and it turns out he made a bunch of them up.

 

I have been in the San Juan Islands, arguably the most beautiful place in WA, since Wednesday for a good buddy's wedding weekend. Absolute blast the entire time.

But today I am questioning life decisions.

 

Woke up this morning and my garage fridge wasn’t working. Keep in mind we are about to have a second kid and need the fridge for milk storage and just filled it up with Costco stuff. looked around and my whole garage was power was out. Started flipping the breakers and that wasn’t it. Ran an extension cord to power fridge and garage door to get out. Went to check all the GFIs and one was flipped I thought so reset it and a red light was showing red and under it said replace. Ok cool, I can replace it. Go to hardware store and get everything plus volt reader. Start to go change it and can’t for the life of me find the correct breaker to turn off the power. Then I look closely and the gfi outlet is working. And I look closer at it and it says replace if blinking. It was never blinking. Ok so maybe that fixed it. Nope still not working. I give up and call an electrician and leave a voice mail. I think walk into the garage and my wife is one the phone with her mom “my mom said that happens to her and they just had to go push a button” I’m like I’ve been doing that all morning.

wife then says “we have done all of them?” Reaches over and hits reset in on one in the garage I somehow missed and the problem is fixed”. 2 hours of going back and forth and being frustrated etc. and below was the culprit to all my issues.

 

Lmao, the reset button of GFCI outlets lines the pockets of so many electricians. Be glad your wife is competent. Right by your panel too

yep I just somehow missed it bc it’s blocked by that shelving unit and we don’t have anything plugged in. I circled the house multiple times.l went into attic etc.

I had this exact same problem with one outlet that caused the bathroom outlets to not work in our old house. Thankfully an electrician was already doing some unrelated work and showed me that one of the outlets in the garage needed to be reset.

I had the same scenario on Friday. Had an electrician come out and he replaced the gfi in my garage. Still didn't work. Paid him 180 bucks to tell me my garage door system was fried and tripping the gfi.

 

I did not know this

 

I thought it was a general knowledge thing. I feel like I’ve known it as long as I can remember

 

If you could only drink one brand of beer for the rest of your life, what would it be? Thinking Budweiser, Sam Adams, Coors, Etc. Not InBev and the likes.
