I had one password I originally started using when I needed one for 6-8 things. Now I need like 100+ and I have no idea what any of them actually are. They're usually a variation of my original one with random capitalizations, *s, or random 123s but I don't for certain know the password to any one site. My phone just knows them. Idk how this is sustainable or how it makes it any better that they're all just in my phone.
Everyone should use a password manager and generate random passwords for every account they create, you just remember your master password for the manager that you don't use ANYWHERE else. 1Password and Bitwarden are good options.
Redav you (and everyone else) should use a proper password manager. I wouldn’t use Google or apple’s password managers. I use Dashlane.

We have these too. Apparently people have been getting fooled very easily lately. Now if you click on them you have to complete a mandatory reeducation course.
I had my Hilton account hacked about five years ago. Had around a half million points in there and some guy in Jakarta hacked it and bought gift cards with the points. I fortunately caught it within fifteen minutes of it happening and they were able to reverse the order right away and get my points back.
My Hilton account got hacked a year or two ago. I had a pretty miniscule amount of points but someone redeemed them for a room in China.
Those points were for my wife’s “babymoon” before our first child. I would’ve been a dead man had I not gotten them back.

My old company communicated raise and bonuses via email. People were told that on X day, everyone would be getting an email instructing them to log into the comp portal when their information was available. They did an internal phising email that day. Savage move by IT.

turns out mine were used to book a couple of rooms at a hotel in Miami tonight under the last name Zhang. The Hilton guy said not only were the rooms canceled for fraud but that it was past the cancellation date the credit card they used would be charged a cancellation fee for the room. My account is suspended for a few days while they complete their investigation but I'm not traveling next week anyway so all good.
Letterman makes it honestly, he’s born to do these kinds of documentaries and that’s saying something after he had the career he had as a talk show host. He latches onto things and people and keeps the themes going throughout his docs. Bono and the Edge come across as best friends, it’s pretty nice to see. I must read Bono’s book, it’s supposed to be good.

Played hoops this morning for over an hour. Felt great, played great. After the games I bent over to take my shoes off and tweaked a muscle in my back.
