My greatest comedic moment came on the bus to DC in 8th grade. Ace Ventura was on, and right when the bed starts shaking in this scene: I yelled “why are they fighting?” in a high-pitched voice. It brought the house down. Kids were howling, chaperones and teachers were snickering, and the middle school director came and got me and made me sit next to her for the next ten or however many hours while all my friends touched boobs in the back of the bus.
One time I saw a Chevy Cruze in downtown Portland with a tow hitch that had been installed by cutting a square out of the bumper and welding it to the frame, and it had metal balls hanging from it. That guy ruled
The first car I bought on my own out of college was a 2014 Chevy Cruze. Given how little I drive I’d probably still have it if it had CarPlay
this was a tik tok trend for ladies a year or so ago. they'd cover their body in body paint and imprint that onto the canvas.
Almost sold my 2017 Elantra and kept my wife's 2016 since it was paid off when she wanted to get a bigger car after we started having kids a couple years ago but the lack of CarPlay was a dealbreaker. Paid off mine this month and plan on driving it until it doesn't make financial sense to repair it.
ashy larry has this on a tapestry in his living room (it’s right next to his autographed Freddie Got Fingered movie poster)[/QUOTE]
Oh for sure it was but it's also just another in a long line of trends where women would pose for men for shit like those paintings or fake beer ads, etc.
All the highlights of your life thus far have been on long haul bus trips. I feel like the universe is telling you something.
Thinking back on it now it is pretty wild. We had like 4 buses full of 10-11 year olds with like an 8/10-1 teacher/chaperone to kid ratio. Gone for a week multiple states away with no communication with our parents
Taking 5th graders to a major city as an overnight school field trip is probably the dumbest idea ever.
some hotel. we had entire floors. teachers taped our doors to find out if anyone opened them after lights out. we were probably threatened somehow to deter us from leaving
We watched (I sang and cried) Les Mes last night. Decided on Greatest Showman tonight (I’ve sang and cried).
Tomorrow we’ll watch Hamilton (I’ll sing and cry). Many have said I’m the song bird Of our generation. They’re right. I’m a vocal savant
I keep thinking there’s a ceiling to food/beverage prices at sporting events and keep get proven wrong. Can’t wait for more private equity ownership in sports!
They still do the 10 hour bus trip to DC every other year here for 7th and 8th graders. Lil man didn’t do it because of covid years but they started it back up now.
My mom loved the stuff since I was a kid. They had stopped making it a few different times, think it's been off shelves for a few years again recently.
Ah seems there's was a supply chain issue at some point according to Google. Guess that's what I experienced.
