Instead of making "Sem's Week 1 CFB" and like, please make a season long thread with your name in the title like castauch and d4h have done. We can also have a week 1 thread and week 2 thread and so on for everyone to share their thoughts, but please refrain from creating a weekly thread dedicated to yourself.
I know myself and others have been working on getting this board for a while now. I am very happy that we got this and now lets work on making this board the best it can be. I am very open to suggestions on how to make this board better and unless myself and others think the idea is that ridiculous then it will probably be approved. One of the biggest things I hated about other Gambling Boards is that people love to lie about things when it comes to their records. - Try and keep your record as truthful as possible. Dont add Wins & Losses if they are not posted before the game. That way we can really see how good of a handicapper you really are. - Do not use the word "Lock", "Sure Thing". We don't mind you saying how much you like the play but there is no such thing as a "Lock" - Do not flame people when they make a losing pick. If they are playing the plays they say then they are already feeling the loss. They don't need people flaming them to make it worse.
Re: Rules to Gambling Board -Whoever uses the word "lock" or "lock of the year" etc. to describe their pick shall be banned.
Re: Rules to Gambling Board If you're going to post wins and losses, you also need to post your units +/- if you are posting in units form.
Re: Rules to Gambling Board My only problem with the posting everything beforehand is that I do some really stupid shit sometimes. If I don't like anything sometimes I'll just do some ridiculous parlay just to have bet on something. I don't usually post shit like that because I know how retarded it is.
Re: Rules to Gambling Board Well we're not telling people to post everything they bet on, but if you're going to include it as part of your record to make yourself look credible, it should be posted prior to the game.

Re: Handicapping Glossary A unit is how much you bet. Say you bet $10 all the time. $10 would be 1 unit.
Re: Rules to Gambling Board If I post I will most likely just be posting my picks, not with units because I am not actually betting because no sites accept my card from my bank right now. Haven't had the time to open a western union account or anything. So I will just post the lines from the site I usually use and post my wins and losses based off that if that's ok.
Re: Rules to Gambling Board Sounds great. Just make sure when you post that you let people know you'd be betting the same amount on each pick.
Re: Handicapping Glossary nice write up sem congrats on the mod selection I am sure cheely is somewhere hurting now because of it
Re: Handicapping Glossary Thanks for the congrats. I didn't write this though. Pulled it off wageronfootball.com and added a couple as they were suggested.
Re: Handicapping Glossary What are the purpose for having "Beards"? I know a lot of the big time guys do it but why? Will books not let them bet?
Re: Rules to Gambling Board Im glad you guys are bringing this up. I planned to play off of some people's picks later on when I really don't see anything I like b/c during CFB I like to play 5/7/9 units every weekend. If everyone is held to this standard it makes it much easier to find the hot guys :buttfuck:
Re: Rules to Gambling Board Should be A) different sub forum for all sports...or at least football should get its own B) one thread a week for CFB & NFL where people put all their picks...pinned & with editing disabled
Re: Rules to Gambling Board Im trying to understand what you are saying. You want different forums but want only 1 thread a week for the football
Re: Rules to Gambling Board I'm saying.....football is big enough to garner its own forum IMO...especially now that it's football season.... within that forum should be any threads/topics people want to discuss about games, etc....but as for keeping a record of picks on this site...only those picks made in ONE specific thread should count...that way the board doesn't get cluttered with every single poster starting a new thread for every game he has bet on this week....
Re: Rules to Gambling Board That's why in the board rules there is an instruction for everyone not to make a new thread for every pick.
first time on this board. Got some internet money to fuck around with. What is the best site to get started on? I've heard Bodog.com
I've heard some bad things about Bodog, but don't know if it's true. I've had good experience with BetJamaica and The Greek.
