It's just not very interesting, and whoever the new EP is for the BD universe needs to understand that making numerous episodes in a season "to be continued" is annoying and pointless.
This BD season had potential, but I feel like there are too many uninteresting storylines going for this many episodes left.
-Cat's story was pretty horrific, and matching her with someone like Barbie would always be wrong. I don't think that girl was built for reality TV and the folks on this season. -Why are all the South African dudes in the BD universe so damn weird? Dylan is yet another dude who seems like a cyborg. -Jared's entire story was perplexing. The dude has little self-awareness, and the whole situation with his daughter seemed like we were missing a lot of information. -I've never liked Ben, and this season only confirms that he's a shithead that's pretty good at his day job. - Xandi and Barbie....where do we begin? Xandi's backstory about her ex-husband and her family is pretty fucking sad. She's probably the most level-headed person on the interior crew. Barbie strikes me as the type that got on this show/into this industry to get famous. The husband during covid story is just fucking weird, and it sounds like she's pitching herself for a series. -Sunny, Anthony, and Frasier are okay at times. I find it weird that Anthony doesn't know how to plan meals. Other than that, I find the number of Louisiana/LSU people who have been on this season super weird. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing LSU merch on a yacht trip. But that's just me.
Barbie isn't interesting enough to be the focal point of the season. Kyle could do better, and I fully mean he should keep trying to hook up with Fraiser when he's loaded.
Speaking of Dylan, he was randomly on VPR last week sitting at a table with Katie. Lady Tegg eagle-eyed it.
She's also just doing the absolute most. Sandoval is a shit bird, but she's milking this for all it's worth and it's pathetic
yeah I’m done feeling bad for her - she got rid of Sandoval. his Scott Peterson line was an absolute all timer though.
Wonder if/when her and Katie are going to catch shit for their scam sandwich shop. Lala at least had the self awareness to call out them doing the exact same sampling 2 years in a row
Its been an outstanding season for summer house. Obviously the real life drama has been a big part of it, but I would also argue that bringing in more interesting guys to the house has been a huge positive. West is awesome and I hope he comes back, Jesse is whatever to me but has a good show presence. Felt like the last 2 years had been too women heavy and there wasn't anything to offset it. In regards to Carl and Lindsey.. man, that was brutal last night as he was telling her he was overwhelmed and she gave him absolutely nothing. To contrast that exchange to how Amanda and Kyle talked/helped him in the conversation just before that, I felt bad for Carl.
man b/w her performance on Winter House and now this Season...I feel so gullible having had the wrong read on her, and I should have known the minute she was in a serious relationship with a chef. honestly thought she was grounded, career focused, etc. Seemed like a decent catch. Culminating in last yr feeling awful for her being the final victim to Lindsays path of destruction. Lol nope. She is a lunatic. Now in hindsight her being the place Lindsay/Carl would turn to for support. Disaster.
I think she’s changed a good bit, so the early read might’ve been right. I think she’s done therapy and went to a terrible therapist and/or completely missed the message. The whole “as a CEO/founder” spiel reeked of something a therapist would say to prompt self reflection or communication but taken as a defense for poor communication.
My wife has gotten into vanderpump rules via a friend. Therefore I loosely watch it/get irritated by the ridiculousness. She sent me a clip of people discussing Sandoval’s NYT article and holy fuck. That guy sucks so hard, and his suck seems far beyond any other person on that show.
dude could not agree more, that slayed me. I went and looked at her LinkedIn and it legit says Co-Founder...of nothing. Lmao.
Lindsay has always been the worst, she deserves nothing out of life. A reprehensible person. I have been laughing at her in the show, versus her ozempic face in the confessional.
It's amazing how utterly shitty Sandoval is considering how reprehensible literally every other cast member is except for maybe Allie and Ariana. Makes no sense whatsoever why this clown gets a redemption arc this season. also laughed at them editing his voice during the concert to not be as terrible as every TikTok of his concerts leads you to believe
I think compared to the rest of the cast Ariana was on the normal side pre-scandoval but at this point she too has gone off the deep end
I ran into (almost literally) Everett with his about to pop wife while getting coffee a few weeks ago and all I could think about in my head was I wonder how often he thanks his lucky stars he’s no longer together with Lindsey
Also i think their next show should just be dropping Kristen Doute into random unsuspecting friend groups around the country and see how long they last before she destroys them.
the more Ive watched the show, the more I think Hubbard missed her best chance when she had the Stephen Stravy dork during the pandemic. He would crawl on glass for her.
Yeah every one of those valley couples are divorced, separated, or in therapy for deep depression after a few months around Kristen
How? All her actions this season showed that she thought she deserved the same treatment during the Randal stuff as Ariana has gotten, she didn't, and now she's jealous. It could not be any more obvious. Her only valid criticism was how weird it was that Ariana wouldn't leave the house. Side note, props to James for his personal growth this season. Completely opposite person from just last season. It seems as if he's taken Ally's advice about therapy and growth seriously and it shows. Good on him
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln… Even if that were the only valid criticism, it’s a huge one. Lala was a voice of reason on the whole thing. Ariana going to a producer because she didn’t want to talk to a cast mate was one of the more bizarre moments in reality TV. That’s not how any of this works.
Ya that was weird. I hope this is addressed at the reunion. Really the whole event was one bizarre thing after another which culminated in that. If you're talking overall throughout the season then hard disagree. Last season Lala eviscerated Schwartz for still playing pickleball with Randal, but now it's "Well Sandoval didn't kill anyone, Ariana needs to move on." Lala would've lost her mind if Ariana was going over to Randal's house to try and mend fences like she did with Sandoval. I fucking loathe Katie, how she acted toward Jo at the event was atrocious, but if you wanted to say she was a voice of reason, I'd agree with that.
