Shep gaslighting Craig and Austen for 'abandoning' him when he was a drunken dickhead to everyone is peak Shep. Also thought it was incredibly fucked up of him to bring up Austen's sister to him. You didn't know her so you don't get to talk about her. Especially considering the 'encounter' was from an ayahuasca hallucination. I probably would have told him to shut the fuck up if he tried that on me.
I was surprised Austen didnt take offense to that. Even Shep's 'enlightenment' is manipulative to his friends and condescending to his exes lol.
Shep is great for tv but seems like just an all around shitty human, friend, significant other or family member. Some folks play up on things for the cameras bc drama sells, but with him I think he really is just that shitty all the time
Dude did nothing but mentally and emotionally abuse his poor ex-girlfriend then has the audacity to say her entire family wishes she was still with him then essentially blasts her for being poor and a lowly dental hygienist as he's complementing his new g/f who "has something going for her self" unlike Taylor. Amazing piece of work
Shep's self awareness in Ep3 was all time. Talking shit about Taylor's boyfriend claiming no one has anything good to say about being in a relationship with him.
This Sally chick is the poster child for plastic surgery gone bad. She already has obviously work done in the show, but her interviews or confessionals or whatever you want to call them she just looks absolutely awful
Lots of people shit on her because she acts like she's a surgeon when she really just is in medical sales
just caught up on SC -salley is a messy bitch -shep is hella salty about taylor still -JT is such a loser jfc
SC has been better recently. The dinner at pats was very entertaining and I’m getting enjoyment out of watching shep and Craig unknowingly head towards disaster.
Had no idea Summer House was back. Fucking died when Jesse Solomon asked Lexi Wood if her middle name was "Gives Me"
Jesse and West have brought out the best in Kyle too. Just dudes having fun and bullshitting. The previous couple of seasons had too many women and not enough guys to fill in the time. Its a solid balance right now.
It helps that they’re somewhat normal guys. A lot of the past weave-in male characters were huge misses.
I was feeling bad for Carl having to walk in on that. I thought he looked like shit, which to me seemed like the situation was clearly weighing on him. And people were giving Jesse Solomon shit for his reaction to the announcement. Like he clearly stated he thought it was weird she got pregnant so soon after the breakup, and he's not going to celebrate his friend's ex getting pregnant.
Agreed with all of this, its just so strange I would have had the same reaction. I was actually quite shocked that nearly everyone else seemed to be jumping for joy about it. Although, I think if you watch Kyles immediate reaction, you could tell he was like WTF. He just had a better poker face than Jesse.
Same. But I think Kyle has to thread the needle of his actual thoughts, but still aligning with Amanda's. And Amanda is going to co-opt whatever Paige ascribes to a given situation, and for whatever reason Paige is on board with Lindsay being a lunatic now. I think Ciara finds it a bit weird to. But same reason - Paige suffocating alternative viewpoints - came at it from a 'math' perspective.
I dont blame Kyle at all, I am sure the last thing he wants is another war against Lindsey that he has to fight all summer. I find Paige quite annoying and rude for the most part, although most of that is likely tied to her interactions with Craig on both SH and SC. In this case, I am sure she sees the path of least resistance being to accept Lindsey for what she is and go with it.
Currently watching last night’s SC. Taylor sucks but love her dunking on Shep. I’m almost to the point where I’m getting second-hand embarrassment with how obsessed Shep is with Sienna when she clearly doesn’t give a shit about him.
It’s so bad and it doesn’t seem fake for TV. Dude has put the pussy on such a high pedestal and he’s lost. The best part is watching the rest of guys being embarrassed for him. I am pretty surprised Shep hasn’t caught onto it or been able to snap out of it.
Jesse and West are great and a good mix with Kyle. I can do one episode of Lindsay and Carl for the shock value but I really hope they aren’t a part of the season. They bring nothing to the table at this point
A couple updates: -I have never cared about the success of a reality tv couple before but man I'm pulling for Harry -Only 2 (soon to be 3) eps in on this season of SH but I'm really enjoying it so far. -Craig's finsta being discovered and being heavily pro-Maga and full of antivax propaganda is literally the least surprising thing ever
Craig was unintentionally hilarious with his drunken rants and opinions. This girl absolutely using Shep and tossing him aside was glorious for all the times he's done that to women over the years. He had the emotional stability of an 18-year-old throughout the whole trip and there were some real cringeworthy moments during the texts/convos. Venita will likely be cut from the show next season after she went on IG and said that producers played scenes out of order in order to make her look like a homewrecker. The branzino dinner w/ JT took place after she came on to him in the Bahamas, not before.
This makes things alot less confusing. I found it so strange that they had that dinner and then she went harder at him on the trip. Their entire arc/relationship this season has been odd to follow, and if the producers were messing with the timeline then thats likely why. So, if I am taking a guess.. They had a fling that started, in the midst of this JT was also talking to another girl. Sometime around the time of the trip, he decides to get more serious with the other girl. They meet and have dinner, where he makes it clear. I am not really sure why they would have messed with the timeline, made it so confusing.
This was brutal to watch, while also being fantastic TV. I also understand both Austin and Craigs approach, and don't think either were necessarily wrong. I have been in a situation where a friend was getting played for a fool, just like Shep, and it can be infuriating. I also found the Craig and Austin conversation to be pretty insightful, and I think its good for Craig to finally be open and honest. It also sucks a bit knowing that him and Paige breakup after this.
I get it, but what else was he supposed to do? Obviously this whole ordeal has been hard on him mentally. I mentioned earlier that I thought he looked rough. Then I see next week's preview has him discussing not having had sex since the breakup?
I was going to say, is the gf thing real or fake? I just can't help but feel like the whole Venita storyline with him is made up for drama.
