I haven’t seen anything from the past several seasons to be scared of him physically anymore. Especially this season. Too many beasts out there.
His political game has aged like fine wine but he's been pretty lucky through 2 weeks. He was def lucky to win this daily challenge and he was lucky Johnny made the massive blunder of not throwing him in at the earliest opportunity like Wes did him. I haven't been impressed with him physically and if he goes into a elimination with one of these young guys I don't think it's going to pretty for him. Unless his extremely beautiful Australian partner carries him to victory somehow. Sidebar: But all the girls in this game have been fairly competent competitors while also being easy on the eyes. Guess that's a function of one team being an all star reality show competitors. Shout out to casting.
Johnny lost a lot of friends after Tony betrayed him. He can't trust Kyle, all he has is LeRoy, Cara and Zach
Really hope they keep showing the challenge, tribunal and elimination all in one episode the rest of the season.
I would be interested to know if it's the highest rated show on the channel. I think that Teen Mom show does quite a bit.
THe only bad thing is watching Wes needling him is pure enjoyment and we wont get that anymore. But man, that was great.
They did very well selecting the girls this time around. Very few that are just totally worthless. I always go back to freaking Jemmye, who could be eliminated at any time if the competition was simply “do a pull up” or “run a 10 minute mile”. No business on a show with any sort of athletic component
Great episode. Glad bananas is gone. Calling out zach over that was dumb as hell especially when wes said they werent working together
Yea he let his feelings get the best of him there. If you’re holding a grudge, throw him in later, don’t go up against a bigger dude in an elimination because you’re mad.
For years I would always get frustrated that the rookies would come in and be scared of taking on the vets right away. But now that it's been happening, I kind of wish they would go back to the old way. If big names keep dropping at this pace, are you really excited to ride out episodes carried by Kam, Paulie, Davonne, etc.? Last season suffered from the final teams being completely uninteresting. If Ashley doesn't screw Hunter at the very end, it goes down as one of the most uneventful and worst seasons to date. Also Bananas totally called out Zach hoping they can come back as Rivals partners in a future season
Whoever said Turbo has killed several people is certainly right. He came out of that scrum with the ball against some big dudes and generally doesn’t say much in his interviews. That guy will F some people up. And CT, let’s see how he performs 30(+) lbs overweight.
Turbo seems to have the perfect setup in that he’s quiet and won’t get on anybody’s bad side, and you aren’t really looking to call him out in an elimination either.
I think the big difference is that the rookies this season all seem pretty legit whereas in the past they have typically been weak. The teams are almost always ridiculously lopsided, this season is much different. Seems like they are going for better competition this year whereas in the past they just look for drama
Bananas calling out Zach over that is made even better by the fact that CT handed a ball to Wes back there where no one could see them and the two of them have grown closer the last few seasons
I was meaning the friendship between CT and Bananas, but I guess the point really applies that CT has just gotten so much more laid back and seems to be fine with everyone
CT and Bananas aren't that close. Apparently Bananas talked shit about CT's wife and they aren't that cool anymore. Obviously CT is going to be pro-Wes over pro-Bananas -- those two went from enemies to really good buds after Rivals 2.
This is definitely the worst shape that CT has been in. He's gone from proud Dad Bod to pretty fat belly this year.
Johnny is the first to claim "All is fair in love, war and the challenge" He's also the first to cry like a bitch when it doesn't go his way. Enjoyed watching him go out, but he's also a great character on the show and it'll be weird to have almost an entire show with out him
Watched the latest episode last night as I kind of knew what was coming after all the social media posts about bananas. Some thoughts on the episode and the comments in here since then -If you remember his entire career CT never really has been in any alliances. The last few seasons when he has no longer been him in his prime he has voted the veterans way because he seems like he doesn’t want to rock the boat -CT also keeping his shirt on for this challenge was funny, yeah he’s rather large now. I can’t see him making it very far on the show although I think these days his reputation outweighs his performances -My man Paulie continues to kill it, may be pound for pound the best competitor in there -I guess zack must be book smart because his awareness level(as we saw this episode) is a 0 if this was madden. Would have bet a lot of money bananas who seems rather intelligent would have creamed zack and that other Brit chick who seemed ditzy -bananas going in early is one of the things I like with these new guys, gone are the days where the vets just cruise through the whole season because everyone is playing a “scared game” and are afraid to rock the boat by throwing in a vet -Leroy is a goner now that he doesn’t have bananas to hide behind -Thought bananas made a solid strategic move picking zack given the fact that zacks mind was 5000 miles away that entire episode and he just blamed it on the ball to Wes crap. Agree with Where Eagles Dare that bananas looks like such a pussy again crying about back stabbing and betrayal. -the British hulk is terrifying -I think I fall further in love with Turbo every week
Noticed this and laughed. Everyone else in compression shorts and no shirt and he's in baggy shirt and athletic shorts
Also this new tribal head thing that saves elimination winners the next week is going to cause some interesting strategy tweaks like we saw with hunter helping Wes
Zach is not book smart. At all. His partner helped him with those countries. He got lucky in that regard.
Just going off of what Jenna said that he’s smart Which I know plenty of people who are very book smart but certainly aren’t common sense smart
Zach has made several self deprecating jokes over the years about not knowing basic school facts. Also lol Jenna. Sweet girl but I’m sure most people seem like Mensa members from her POV
Fair enough Still an impressive victory of those 2, who i thought was arguably the dumbest duo, beating bananas who is rather intelligent He’s a penn state grad
Bananas thought they spoke Dutch in Australia. You're overselling his intelligence quite a bit, unless you're being sarcastic and it's lost in the reading.
which reinforces my idea that mtv needs to start grabbing a couple new guys each season from the prison release system.
Even after two teams have gone home, i am still waiting for TJ to surprise us with the unexpected redemption house. I hope not. I love this fornat as is.
Jenna somehow made a final with that squirrely guy Jay with a tongue ring who quit the final during an eating challenge. She has out-performed relative to expectations in my opinion.
the sad thing about that guy is he was the one originally casted for a Real World season, I think it was the Skeletons season and Jenna (his on/off girlfriend) came to live in the RW house.....he treats her like shit during that season and she forgave him, then he ends up cheating on her before their first Challenge season. Dude was a tool.
Them picking from other shows got me thinking. For pure train wreck purposes, Ronnie from Jersey shore would be amazing, but I can’t see him coming on the show unless they gave him a ton of guaranteed money. Probably more than they’d be willing to give.
