i dont know/understand tarletons value because of their sudden rise but I feel like NMSU or even Abilene Christian make a lot more sense
do the pac add st marys too? i don't know if that's realistic. all i know is i fall asleep during their basketball games.
Not enough of a brand to move the needle as a non-football school. It sucks. Maybe the WCC schools that try to win like them, San Fran, and Santa Clara can beg the MWC to get in.
Feels like we are close to hearing Tijuana State and the University of American Samoa are close to getting bids.
They both suck so bad, but Nicole looks worse. She’s throwing a tantrum because the child molester-looking fella scooped her.
it’s the best possible solution but would also probably put a lot of administrators out of work so it’s a give and take
That sounds like it would be the best case scenario, but we all know the big 2 aren’t giving up their favored nations status. They want everyone else to die.
They might but the networks do not. With that said it would have to be unequal revenue distribution with more given to large brands (do it with a TV appearance and on-field success formula or something) in order to work
with that said it’s a proposal from an independent group and not going anywhere anytime soon but it’s good that it’s being put out into the ether
the proposal is a little gross as is, pushing some false narratives and whatnot. the assertion that in 2024 fewer teams have a chance at winning a championship than in the past is just bad. the only team knocked out of contention by october is fsu.
It seems like a good first step and has legit people involved. It’s the first real solutions I have heard anyone bring up outside of message board/X shitposting.
Nothing beats the ol’ “I’m talking about them but I don’t really care and I’m going back to ignoring them” takes.
McMurphy holding a grudge on being sneered at for claiming Mel Tucker had been fired six weeks before Mel Tucker was fired, when everyone knew he would be fired but hadn’t yet been fired because of billable hours, kind of lame. Tip ‘o the cap on the Zags scoop though.
LA Tech should’ve been less snobby towards UL and Monroe. Both of those schools should be in the Fun Belt. Or WKU in the MAC.
It's one of those funny college football things. The average CFB fan couldn't tell you one difference between those 3 Louisiana schools but they've always felt like they've had a statewide mission while ULL and ULM are little pissant regional schools (despite ULL being R1 now with LaTech as R2). I would like to see them get in one day.
This is clearly starting to look like a LIV golf/pga situation. So messy. These people are so incompetent.
While geographic proximity is #1, historic rivalries like Notre Dame-BC is the number two consideration. (Don’t pay attention to Michigan/Ohio State and Texas/Oklahoma being split up)
How did Navy end up in this with no other service academies and Boise State, a very strong program for 25 years now, get left out?
Ohio State seems like a very random addition to the ‘Midwest’ division. Only Eastern time zone school and there’s multiple states between Ohio and any other states in that otherwise contiguous division.
it’s not fan fiction really, it’s a group with some relatively big names also with 8 out of division games I am guessing there would be protected yearly rivalries for everyone
i like 12 divisions for the sake of more interesting schedules. i hate 12 divisions because it would almost certainly lead to 12 playoff autobids.
