The Sniper Elite V2 demo is now on the Xbox live marketplace. I played it earlier the x-ray slow motion shots would make the Mortal Kombat designers proud. My best shot was I shot a guy through the heart then bullet ricocheted inside this body, and started turning over like a throwing knife. It flew through the light cover and straight through the enemy behind it. Double Kill in excruciatingly painful detail.

Yeah I have also been told it will have online Co-op as well as competitive multiplayer. If you get the game I will be happy to play Co-op with you.
Jaysus, I got a 2500 kill on the sniper in the first part of the demo map. That demo is really fun. The kill cam is awesome lol Might have to buy it
No, I need to try that. Demo is a blast, I just keep plYing the first part over and over again. Just got 3145 for a 2 for 1... Shot a guy right through his skull, the bullet then travelled through a piano and then through another nazis heart. Down and to the left
So, I wouldn't reccomend shooting anyone in the testes, dude, not pleasant.. Play it through, the ending is pretty awesome. Only part I don't like is how easily they spot you, but maybe that's because the map is pretty small. You should still be able to get several shots off from distance before everyone starts shooting directly at you.
Yeah I have already witnessed the crotch shot. Well that depends if you fire and a sniper is on over watch you are only shooting from 100+ meters away he is easily going to spot you, but if you take out the sniper and then drop back down after your shot. They go into panic mode because they have no idea where the shot came from.
I'll have to give that a try, its hard in the first part to kill the sniper before he sees you. Pretty cool how the AI helps injured soldiers. I shot an injured guy that was being carried by a fellow soldier. I also blew a nazis head off whilst he knelt next to an injured comrade. All in all a fun way to replace FifA after my gay friends bailed on me.
I hit the sniper at the beginning of the level through his right eye while he was looking down the scope with my first shot. 4900 pts headshot kill. My favorite shot I have made so far was a 150 meter running remote detonation kill where I shot his potato masher while he was running and he just blew the fuck up.

Well if you like games where you can approach your objective in 5 different ways then this is the game for you. Do you want to hit them long range, do you want to go in guns blazing, do you want to sneak and only kill/complete your target or objective,ect. If you do get the game immediately set it to Sniper Elite difficulty. Yes it will take a couple levels/ tries to get the distance, wind speed, and lead down to competent levels, but it will be worth it. All the other difficulties give you a little red dot showing exactly where your bullet will hit plus they don't make you account for the wind. This game has online co-op for the entire campaign as well.
I've played through a few missions. Pretty good. I haven't played the kill Hitler mission though. Haven't had much time to get into it. I started just restarting at different check points to try different things and for bonus you can go around finding gold or shooting bottles.
I just got home, so I am booting it up right now to play with a friend on online co-op. I will have a better review later tonight.
The campaign on Sniper Elite difficulty clocks in around 10-12 hours which for a shooter is pretty good. After only playing a few missions and playing a game mode called Kill tally which is basically a horde mode I give the game a 8.75 Alright my review on the game. It is not for everyone if you are looking for some amazing ground breaking shooter then this not the game for you. If you are looking for a great challenge where the AI when they aren't panicking is stellar and they will hunt you down like dogs if you aren't careful then this is the game for you. I would advise playing the online co-op with a friend especially on co-op campaign there is nothing better then lining up two distinct shots and synchronizing your shots, so that you won't alert other enemies. Some levels you have really loud noises going on in the background, so you can use that to cover your gun shot. My only complaint is the enemy AI until they regroup then they lay down fire and slowly converge on your position. If you are looking to hit 1000m shots then this isn't game for you, but remember you are using WW2 rifles so even a 200m shot is a full two mil marks above the target. Probably the max shot you will take is 400m+, but with crazy wind and not incredible zoom scopes that will be a hell of a shot. Pros: Realistic bullet drop, windage, and bullet physics Online Co-op modes and full campaign X-ray kill shots. I shot a dude that was limping and it tore off 4 of his fingers then went through his liver and out his knee. "Warning" Not a game for people with weak stomaches or who have never watched Dexter. Multiple ways to approach each mission Snipers that hide very well and blend in so finding some of them without them seeing you first is a challenge. Cons: Enemies a lot of times when panicked will run back and forth between cover and then just sit behind cover exposing their heads Sometimes the game is just a glorified shooting gallery. Gamespot gave it a 6/10 but like I said this game is about laying down that perfect shot and constantly trying to outdo your last high scoring kill. It is definitely not a game for everyone especially if they aren't willing to put in the time to learn the mil distance and compensate for the wind.

I don't know. I haven't been able to get into it too much. The weather has been too nice, plus NHL and NBA playoffs, etc.
It is a fun game, but not much replay value unless you have friend to do co-op. Your best bet is to wait for Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 since the shots will be longer, and more strategic. SE sometimes just feels like a shooting gallery most of the time, but it is still very difficult and even shots of 200 meters require serious wind and drop adjustments.
I'm about to kill myself trying to beat this fucking game. The AI knows where you are at all times despite how well you slow-play a level. Fuck this bullshit.

I'm starting to fucking hate it. I'd really just rather take the time setting up for some strategic shots than have a fucking courtyard full of people I have to kill. The level design is absurd. I barely got through the museum island level without breaking my controller. I'm selling this horseshit to buy NHL.
Yeah I loved the strategy at learning the drop and reading the wind/speed of the enemy, but I wasn't a fan of the turkey shoot which is basically what every level was.
Let's take one of the coolest mechanics a video game has ever had and make it so you never get to enjoy it. A grand idea, indeed.
I blame the gaming community of next gen systems. Nobody wants to play a game unless there is action 24/7 like COD or Halo. Gamers these days don't want to spend 10-20 minutes sneaking around till they find that perfect set up to shoot from. They want an enemy at every turn, and to be able to kill as many possible enemies as they can. I hate this current gaming generation because they have ruined video games especially online multiplayer. All games now a days cater to the casual gamer that don't want to take time to learn the game, and truly become good at it. They just want to be able to pick up the game, and instantly be good at it and with the addition of perks/ choose your own weapon they can do that. Gone are the games that say here is what you get, and if you don't learn to master this weapon or game you will be crushed without mercy. Another tragedy of this gaming generation is that if the game says single player only it won't sell well unless it was a blockbuster title or a sequel that was on the xbox or ps2, ect. Games like Darksiders, Dark Souls (It had co-op multiplayer but was still basically a single player game), Shadows of the Damned, The Witcher 2, Dragon's Dogma, ect all had decent sales, but all those games got a 8.5 out of 10 or higher by gamespot, game informer, ign ect. It sucks to watch games like COD break sales record./rant3
