Had my first fuck this game moment. Walked into Saint Denis start talking to the saloon owner about cleaning out the rats, as this is going on 2 witnesses pop up and split into two separate directions. NO clue what crime I committed, wasn't wanted. My horse is shot dead, all I have is a pistol and shotgun. Can out run the fucking bobbies, run out of ammo. Get shot and still have a $250 bounty. Come the fuck on.
If someone had killed Django II like that then I swear to god Saint Denis would’ve rained dynamite and fire bottles
There are a bunch of beavers in that same area. I saw a handful of three star beavers almost immediately after I killed the legendary one.
Just need a perfect wolf pelt and I'll be able to craft the legend of the east satchel. Can't wait to be able to ignore inventory management and just loot everything I see.
don’t see any reason to be anti-YouTube for side hustle stuff unless you plan on putting in 100s of hours of offline play. Gimmie the gold bar hack and online maps at least showing the general area of where to look for random shit. Money grinding and hours of scanning the screen for collection type things are the aspects of these type games that burn most people out. Some people love that part though do you. If I’m gonna be spending hours on non-mission things it’s gotta involve killing shit. Either animals or dead-eye tomahawking people in the face. Fuck lookin for dino bones and cig cards
Also I’m pretty sure I fucked up the professors ending in SD. Got the guy. Was going to see the exhibition. Thought I was supposed to ride with him in the carriage. His wording made it sound like it. Even made room for me to sit. Somehow ended up on top of the cage in the back. He freaks out and runs off. I tried to follow.... The professor has WHEELS. Probably runs a 4.2 40. Lost him. Went back and shot home boy in the cage. Much more of a quick death anyways
Team YouTube/google to find things. Have a site bookmarked showing where to find the legendary animals.
No idea what the gold bar glitch is but why do you need to do it? At the beginning of ch.4 and I have close to $6k just from playing the game that I have no idea what to do with.
I keep coming across a crazy preacher in a river but it won’t let me talk to him. Also came across a father and son trying to build a house but being attacked for protection money. I saved them but it won’t let me talk to them. So I hogtied them and robbed them.
Dont really need it. Was just curious if it worked for others. I’m on chapter 2 and have about $3200.
I think I’m going to give up on this game for a while. I hope they’ll add fast travel (for real) at some point. I don’t have much gaming time with kids so I don’t want to spend it riding around on a horse for hours
I'm in the same boat. I only get an hour or two at the time and maybe once a week. Cabs in GTA have absolutely spoiled me rotten for games like this.
Yeah the taking the coach to the closest city is alright but then that last few minutes riding back to camp even in Cinema mode gets old.. Unless it involves taking out the raiders in a random encounter. That makes it worthwhile
Spent the past couple of days just randomly hunting. Made a cool grand after a couple trips to the trapper, fence, doctor, and general store.
Regret that I found Dutch's pipe but didn't get a chance to give it to him due to where i was at in ch 4. Stupid cut scenes.
100% understand But the ride for me is the most enjoyable part I am only in chapter 3 I get side tracked on random encounters, hunting anything that crosses my path, or just exploring
I found a guy dead? with a suit on and his pants down and a pig with a blonde wig on. Also dead? I was able to pick up a golden wedding ring. I'm guessing this guy married a pig and fucked it and someone killed them. What a game.
So what should I spend my money on? Upgrade camp? Guns? Also hunted the legendary boar because I ran into it but is hunting worthwhile?
i spent like 7.5K pretty easily when i did the gold glitch the first time bought every gun, outfit, horse, camp upgrade, etc. customized a bunch of stuff. gave the remainder to the camp funds and then did the glitch again to get a fresh 15K and currently have ~5K in pocket and 5K in camp funds left.
Ok how is it worthwhile? For selling? Crafting? Killed the legendary boar but went to the trapper and apparently I need to kill more shit for him to be able to use it
it's worthwhile for crafting. You don't really make that much for selling perfect pelts. A beaver pelt is $2.50 I think. But you'll need a ton of perfect pelts to craft all the satchels and clothing pieces. It's much more lucrative to rob trains or sell stolen stagecoaches.
And some of the treasure maps are a lot easier once you explore more of the map. I finished the Jack Hall and High Stakes treasures today. All the landmarks were easy to find just by looking for them on the map. Poisonous Trail still seems impossible though.
That was the easiest one. Face Rock, Snake Mound are easy to spot....well, the treasure in the cave is a little tricky though. The toughest one I thought was the sketched map treasure
The menu isn’t that intuitive. What crafting items are substantive upgrades and what are just for decoration? I’m just starting so my money and items are limited at this point.
But the only thing you should have Pearson craft is satchels. The rest are just decorative and a waste of pelts
Should I be taking the animal carcasses too or just the skins? Is the trappers crafting just decorative as well?
Trapper crafts clothing so you’ll want to take your perfect pelts to him. Carcasses don’t really do anything you’ll just get a couple bucks from the trapper or butcher. I think you have to take 5 carcasses to Pearson to unlock one of the satchels.
Satchels, talismans, and trinkets are substantive upgrades. You need perfect pelts for the satchels and legendary animal parts for the talismans and trinkets. The clothing is purely cosmetic.
I'm trying to figure out why it took me so long to realize that Agent Ross has been accompanying Agent Milton, damn I feel slow
