yeah man its great
just beat IX about 15 minutes ago... looking at either X or starting I Am Setsuna
Try the original Fallout 1 and Fallout 2
and on at least one run make your intelligence stat as low as possible
FFX is the GOAT
Anyone know when blitzball 2017 drops?
downloading world of final fantasy
Final Fantasy 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is it?
No clue. Wont be able to play it until tomorrow. I've probably watched 6-7 hours of streams though and it looks really good. Both fans of jrpgs and western rpgs shouls be able to enjoy it.
excited for F15
looked iffy from a stylistic standpoint but the reviews have convinced me because i'm a sucker
Probably will nab it around Christmas
I preordered it on Black Friday and it should be delivered by the end of the day
I can't play until about the 20th because of school and am so sad
Woo! Got my copy
Fucking 40 minute update before you even start.
Beautiful title music
Wish I had more time to sink into this game, and I don't want to half ass it.
Found a behemoth, died quickly
Haven't played a video game in years but wish I could play FF15. You guys are making me excited with this "it's actually a good game" talk
Played like 3 hours and you can tell they pulled some mechanics from multiple games. Really enjoyed it so far, new fighting takes a bit to get used to. Still not sure about the story but it looks like there's enough side quest and mini game type things to make up for it if it's bad.
I can definitely see some elements of Deus Ex in the stealthy sections.
2.5 hours left on the install
The Last Guardian arrives on Tuesday.
Where's the pho talk?
title say RPGs not dumb puzzle games
This game is quickly turning into fishing simulator for me.
7 hours in without progressing past the first "you can't come back for a while" thing. so much more to do before i progress.
10 hours in. onto chapter 2.
Didn't the reviews crash hard for this game
i really want to get FF XV but have never played a FF game.
i love rpgs. the Witcher 3 is probably my favorite game.
should i get it?
I mean even if it is weak I get to enjoy a puzzle game with a creature that works like a dog with a huge open world to explore. It will probably be cult following game that won't get much attention from most, but I will enjoy it for what it is. Shadow of the Colossus is my favorite game of all time, so I love this company and I will let my own review decide it not anyone else.
but it still feels a lot like a jrpg despite being more westernized this time around
what exactly does that mean?
a party dynamic
an anime-like feel, flamboyant garb and some melodrama
a fantastical world, lot's of lights and colors, magic and such
lots of cuscenes and narration
and most importantly, things like:
Western RPGs are like all the Fallouts
JRPGs are all the final fantasies
it's not a bad thing. this is the correct first game of the series for someone who is a fan of western rpgs.
Running around at night is kinda scary. Lvl 30 iron giants popping up outta nowhere and my lvl 12 ass is running.
This is also a free JRPG that has a lot of critical acclaim to it
really really long read... but worthwhile.
Oral history of FFVII
Awesome read, thanks
i played this, ff7, ff8, and metal gear, to the point that my playstation started making fucked up noises and i went gameless for years.
Those plus games like wild arms, chrono cross, suikoden etc. occupied so much of my time when I was younger on PlayStation. Still can remember wild arms themes without having to hear it.
Not a true jrpg but been playing a ton of final fantasy brave EXVIUS on my phone recently. Fun little time waster where you get to play with all your favorite heroes. Freemium type game but with jrpg mechanics and some story.
Typical Gatcha game where luck determines a lot in which characters you draw since the all are available every draw except for the best which are only available during events.
Also not every unit is viable for high level stuff, lot of grinding, and story is released episodically.
Ton of events in between to grind for gear etc but overall a fun game.
Not sure if anybody else is playing
