they were married before amazon, but he was still like an SVP at some Wall Street firm. meaning, he was still in a position where he would have had her sign a prenup. so my question was how that holds up when someone goes from "pretty wealthy" to one of the richest men in the world.

I think it's all moot though as it seems they have come to an agreement outside of any prenup.

Yeah - he definitely doesn't have the cash on hand to pay out what she's entitled to and there were concerns about control of the company if he had to transfer her shares. Don't know if we'll ever find out but definitely interested in what her payout will be.
