I've heard of horror stories with health stuff but we got lucky, I guess. Bear only had one issue really but it came back over and over. He would get a bacterial infection in a joint. Started in his right front elbow. He was fine one day and it blew up the next day and he was yelping in pain. They did a tap on it and found the right meds and ge was good in 4-5 days. Ended up coming back every 12-18 months in a different joint. Then May of last year it got in his spine. We thought we were going to lose him them. That one really fucked him up and he walked pretty slow and slipped a little on the wood floors for the rest of his life. We had to get step pads to help him get on the couch and the bed. He had some skin allergies when he was young but once Appoquel was made he was straight. That drug was a prayer answered for us. Overall he cost a fortune but it was mainly bc of that issue that they could just never figure out what it was or what caused it. Luckily they could treat it though.
