It’s a real fucking shame that some people have taken this opportunity to grieve by cherishing their family members those absolute pieces of shit
That is a great post. Obviously she can grieve and do whatever the hell she wants for as long as she wants, but that’s good to see.
Welp, I teared up for the 4th straight day. Who gives a fuck about social media but great post and strength from her.
Which is different from people showing solidarity in parenting and championing daughters how? (aside from the obvious greater positive value in the girldad sentiment)
I’m now worried about how much Pelican truly knows about me to have not banned me because I don’t have a daughter
Only reason I don't completely love the #girldad thing is because I've got a little bit of jealously. I wish I had a daughter to go along with my two awesome sons.
Ok, I found an example of #girldad crossing the look at me line. Well known female sad sack always posting lonely and desperate stuff on Facebook: "Wish I had a #girldad :( "
This, she's just looking for likes and everyone to pay attention to her. I have a 6 yr old daughter and to be honest I was scared shitless when she was born, just for the simple fact, I know very little about growing up with and or raising a girl. I grew up with 3 brothers and have a older son. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, she has me wrapped around her finger and she will always be my baby girl. #girldad.
Reporter who said all the kids were on board was suspended by ABC https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5e32c73ac5b611ac94d03997
The guy on air is only as good as the people giving him info. How about the media gets back to being right instead of being first? This mistake was/could have been made by anyone.
Except that he chose to run with the info once he got it, usually journalists will try to verify their info with additional sources before they run with it. Suspending this guy is a way to send the message that running with info without verifying it first will not be tolerated.
He was live on air. If they don't want him to report something when he's live then it won't be on the prompter or given to him. On air talent doesn't just wing it. They have a producer in their ear feeding them info. This dude didn't just get a text and then decide to go with it.
haha I can relate to that. Like I said earlier, we wait until birth to learn gender. When the Dr held up the baby, she said "Dad, tell us what we got." Honestly I looked at a baby straight out the womb and looked down for a dick. It wasn't there. That's when I realized we had a girl. So many things raced through my head for the next few hours. I knew my life was going to change with a boy or a girl but having a girl was going to flip it upside down. So many things to learn. Two years in, barely scratching the surface, but so fun so far. And yea, I'm a straight sucker for that girl and she knows it. If she starts her request with "Daddy..." she's going to get it.
Didn't find out ahead of time what my now 2 year old daughter was going to be. Dare I say I was almost disappointed when we found out we were having a boy for #2 Especially with how gender roles are evolving so quickly, I fucking love having the opportunity to raise a bad ass woman who will dominate life
