god he was so close to being born on 8/24 the only player to ever get close to MJ’s greatness on the court and probably the only player to ever will
damn Vanessa's post....not sure I can continue reading this stuff today. It got dusty with Nike/Pau tributes but now.....
apparently Vanessa's mom gave interviews and was leaking information in the aftermath....sad situation
The Shaq/Kobe thing is so fascinating to me from the Shaq perspective, both during their run and the aftermath. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...attle-lines-showboat-lakers-kobe-shaq-dynasty
The drawing of Kobe’s body on the autopsy report is awful. Can’t imagine why anyone would want to see that in person, let alone take a picture of it and/or share it.
According to the story it was a bartender that overheard the cop and reported it to the Sheriff's department, which then did jack shit.
That first anniversary is brutal. I remember what it felt like losing my dad, the pain gradually easing a bit after the first six months and then that first anniversary hits and its like losing him all over again immediately, just gut punching. I'm not a religious person but today I'm praying for Vanessa and the girls.
Yea, being reminded every time you turn on a TV or get on social media, etc has to make it that much worse
It's crazy to think how he passed right before all the pandemic stuff started really happening. Month or two later and he wouldn't have even recognized his own country. Shit changed fast at the start of 2020
I don’t think that’s what she’s saying is it? Seems like a pretty big misrepresentation of her being upset that she didn’t get to control the family’s grieving process
i remember sitting on my porch, thinking that it was remarkably foggy, when I got a text from my buddy “please god, don’t be true”
its one of those days in my life I remember what I was doing and probably always will. I was cooking breakfast and my middle daughter texted the tmz story in the family group text and no one believed her. Everyone was saying stuff like “that ain’t funny” “stop spreading lies” “why isn’t on the news”.
definitely one of those for me. just walked into my grandfather's house for his birthday and saw twitter blowing up with the news.
I can't remember exactly where I was but I remember the text. It was from my boss and it just said "KOBE!". I thought it was good news that we'd get to work with his team again or something. Never would have guessed what was coming next.
