Dyson has/had a much better bat than Heath ever will. I don't think Heath will ever hit enough to stick in the majors. Looking forward to having this bumped in a few years when Heath wins a batting title.
If Heath wins a batting title that would mean he completely revamped everything he does. I’d be ecstatic for him if that miracle happened.
I still think Hanser will be okay. He's not a star, but I think an OPS in the .700ish range is something he can do. I have more faith in that happening than I do in Nicky continuing to be valuable at the plate. Benintendi doesn't look good.
We are 9-7 and Benintendi, Dozier and Soler have done next to nothing so I'll remain optimistic on the lineup. The bullpen still scares the hell out of me. And Keller needs to get it together and throw more strikes. Somehow he only throws in the zone when he is ahead in the count and nibbles when he's behind.
it’s weird because the pen seems like a huge liability but they’ve won 55 games in a row when they’ve had a lead after 7
Bring the fences in. I didn't see it. I'm out of town. But firmly on the bandwagon our park is too big
I’m amazed we’ve only been tagged with 7 errors this series. Friendly hometown score keeper feeling bad about the cold I guess.
Man, that was a heck of a roller coaster to watch last night. Games like that would have been turned off after 4-0 the previous two seasons but this team is so much more interesting (read: better).
Haven’t looked at any metrics but has Sal’s defense gone to crap this year? His framing has never been good but seems especially bad. Also seems like we’re seeing dozens of passed balls a game. Maybe it’s just me.
