Oh no doubt, it was worth a shot. Throwing from the knee falling away just presents a big risk of that ball ending in a dugout or past Salvy with guys on 2nd and 3rd with no force. Perfect bounce pass
A lot has been said about Salvy being too big to be a catcher but that's an instance where his size helps. I don't know of many catchers who could reach for that ball and then that quickly apply the tag.
