First game of the spring this afternoon. It’s always a serotonin hit turning on the radio and listening to Denny and those birds chirping after a long winter.
Denny hasn't done the first spring game in years. It's usually Steve Stewart and like Phys. But in general I agree
Boys just taking a deep dive into the Royals' schedule; I am having a hard time finding a game that they might lose. Can anyone else?
I mean I guess if you squint really hard, you might see them losing that 9/24 afternoon game in Houston, but probably not actually.
Former Georgia Bulldog Tucker Bradley hit that walk-off. Congrats, Georgia fans. Finally something to be proud of.
That was pretty funny from Stewart, “well, we don’t know who hit the walk off, the scoreboard says Duffy but the MLB app says Bradley”
Stupid 610 is playing stupid KSU and the stupid MLB app isn’t playing in the background so I have to keep it open on my stupid phone.
Keller gave up a single then struck out the side. Bobby opened it with a stand up triple then a few batters later Franmil blast a 3 run shot. Up 4-0.
Why are there so many preseason games in baseball? Most sports have a couple of preseason games and then into the real stuff. I think I counted 28 warm up games? Surely that’s overkill.
Been a while since I’ve posted in here but I still remember(vaguely) the game dirt and I wooed those chicks at the game. I bet our collective bac was 1.5.
Hey dudes. I’m eyeing Maikel Garcia as a minor league keeper in my fantasy. This kid going to break with the club or maybe later this season?
I won't jam up the MLB thread with Lorenzo Cain love but he's easily in the top-3 of favorite Royals ever. Watching him run down balls in the outfield was a thing of beauty. How he only won 1 Gold Glove is beyond me. He finishes his career with a 32.5 bWAR7 (averaging 134 games/season in those years) and a career bWAR of 38.4. I miss those 2014/2015 teams so much
IIRC the gold glove problem was he didn't play enough innings in CF to qualify every season... we'd bring in Dyson frequently to give his legs a break out there. And never apologize for LoCain love - he was undoubtedly the best player on those teams.
