Big pitch there by Alexander. Kelvin was for sure pointing at his forearm as he walked off. Tommy John here we come.
I'mma be so pissed off *when they score their next run. I've always ran with the motto of 'if you're gonna be bad, be as bad as you can be'...and they've got a chance to go for the gold. *if
This is about the time where we all say "ok, it was a nice run but I think it's over now" and then they rattle off 5 wins in a row. That seems to be the theme of this season. Also, on a side note, looking forward to next year (too early, I know) but we are on the books for $73.25 million to these players: Alex Gordon - $20 mil Jorge Soler - $4 mil Brandon Moss - $7.25 mil Chris Young - $1.5 mil Travis Wood - $6.5 mil Joakim Soria - $9 mil Jason Hammel - $9 mil Ian Kennedy - $16 mil (player option which he will almost certainly pick up after this horrendous year) Minor has a $10 mil mutual option.. which I doubt we pick up, even though he's been pretty decent this year. Excluding Minor, we are on the hook for $73.25 million in 2018 for guys that have combined for a 2017 WAR of...... -0.1. Yes, they have combined for a negative WAR. Even if you take away Wood and Young, those returning players have a combined 1.1 WAR. So if people wonder why we can't re-sign Hoz and/or Moose, this is why. DMGM gets a ton of credit for 2014 and 2015, rightfully so, but he should also get some blame for these horrendous contracts as well as a farm system that has failed to produce anything meaningful recently. Yeah, I know we traded some guys for Zobrist, Cueto, Melky, Padres turds, etc. but nobody in those trades has really lit it up. Manaea was having a nice season before he hit a wall after the ASB. I'm preparing myself for a few years of the Royals I knew growing up, perennial 90+ loss teams.
Dayton has low key been a fucking terrible GM since 2015. This offseason was dogshit. Like fireable bad (if he hadn't brought a trophy to KC).
Actually had a friend tell me yesterday that his co-worker woke up a passed out Duffy in his Escalade in a Burger King parking lot. Didn't know the validity of the story so I didn't want to spread any rumors. Looks like it was true.
Passing out in a Burger King at 7:30 at night is pretty hardcore. He must have been going hard on the plane ride home from Cleveland that day, because I doubt he had time to get tanked between deplaning and heading home.
Bukaty was just on MLB Network and said Duffy flew back on Saturday for treatment so it looks like Sunday Funday got a little out of hand. But he did confirm that it was at a Burger King parking lot so there's that.
I wouldn't expect him to apologize as that likely is admitting guilt, but I was taken aback as his statement didn't sound very contrite. I'm guessing the painkiller theory very well may be accurate just based on how vague and strange his statement was.
I don't give a shit if it was painkillers or he drank 3 fifths of Viaka...he needs to get his bald ass out on the bump and pitch like a flame broiled lefty. Get real tired of all the media types...after any athlete gets a DUI...preaching about how they just hope he 'gets right' and/or 'gets the help he needs'. Goddam we're talking about a DUI, not going on a murder spree.
The best part is Kietzman going on and on about it. Mother fucker, you got caught driving drunk getting a BJ from an intern who wasn't your wife. GTFO of here with your moral superiority.
You guys see Rusty Kuntz won't be coaching first anymore? He's having some eye/vision issue. We just need the season to end to purge all this bad mojo.
There's a better link somewhere with more details, but I can't seem to find it. http://www.greghallkc.com/index.php...e-nick-wright-goes-bobby-petrino-on-kks-past/ http://www.pitch.com/news/article/20610030/big-sexy
Goddam. I had almost totally forgotten about Jason Whitlock. What a fucking fat, lazy, piece of shit. And I don't doubt that the Kietz thing happened, but if those are the two best sources... 'urban legand'...'long-held belief'. Bulletproof, yo.
Kietzman builds entire shows around half truths, rumors and other bull shit, I am perfectly fine dragging his name through the mud based on an "urban legend."
I'll take your word on it. I don't listen to any sports talk radio because it's a well known fact that it's the easiest way to get ear-HIV. I was just wanting to get some juicy details about the 'incident', but left fairly disappointed. Similar to stories of why Venables will never coach again at KSU. Not much actual stuff...at least not enough to whack off to.
4.225 million I think they are just talking assuming he needs help because his IQ is so low. Just like every other professional athlete that gets pulled over for DUI. You make enough to have a personal driver, you get a DUI. You're pretty dumb imo.
Also, Kelvin was awful again and got pulled due to "injury" again and Alexander saved his ass again. His fastball was still sitting 97 unlike last time this happened so who knows.
