Was at the game today.
Fun game. Kids got on the jumbotron, ran the bases with my four year old.
Flip Hamilton for cash, put that cash toward Kennedy so we can flip him.
These pitchers are crushing it
Soler would hit 50+ if he played for Boston.
Is this good?
TJ surgery for him in 3...2....
Might as well do it right now. Preventative maintenance.
I know it was Detroit but wut was up with Montgomery tonight?
Soler is def lava hot
they should turn him into a 1B
I want Soler to play less defense, not more. He'd be a disaster at 1B.
Besides, it's law that the Royals 1B has zero power. I think it's dictated even in the Bible that that man is not allowed to be able to hit.
jorge is gonna mess around and hit 50 at this rate. Dozier looks like he’ll hit 30+ too
Magma hot says Rex
if AAA keeps the juiced balls he needs to skip Omaha and go straight to kc
Fab graphs has our pitching farm as #2 overall. Really interested to see the rest of them get out of Wilmington to make sure that park isn’t inflating their numbers.
Bye bye Billy. What a waste of money.
IF 1 WAR is worth $8M, then he wasn't a total waste of money.
He's going to make $4.25M this season...and to this point he's at 0.5 WAR. So it looks like the Royals overpaid $250,000 on him.
ETA: of course, yes, he's signed through next season with a $1M buyout...so they overpaid $1.25M over 2 years for him. Oh what the hell he sucks and it was a stupid signing i agree
There’s only 36 guys on the 40 man roster so I wonder who they plan on adding. I don’t remember who needs to be protected from the rule 5 draft
Doesn’t really impress me a ton.
Who here doesn't think Gordo would win a gold glove at P if the Royals resign him as their #5 SP for next season?
Wanna find out who the dumb dumbs are...
Rosenthal and Stark: The Royals are discussing a sale of the club
That would be great for the Royals.
My mind first went to the Illig family, this would be ideal for the Royals long term.
oh shit, I know that guy
Saw a rumor that the bidder is John Sherman.
Edit: nvm, just saw in the article he is listed
word on the streets is the sale will also make way for a downtown stadium
That’d be sweet. And just so I remember correctly. When Muriel and Kauffman foundation sold Glass the team there were 2 clauses. 1 that the team had to remain in KC and 2 any profits from a sale would have to be donated back to KC charities. Now I’m pretty sure I remember that the profit clause expired like 5 to 10 years back but I’m not sure about the no relocation clause.
Sounds like old man Glass is basically on his death bed and that’s why this moved so fast. Interested to hear the rest of the ownership group.
I guess you're excellent at reading between the lines!
Missed #39 by a foot.
He crushed that
I think it's kinda sad that only 3 of the top 10 single season Royals HR leaders are from the 2000s.
If you add up every team's top 10 single season HR totals, the Royals sit dead last at 347 HRs...8 HRs behind next-to-last Tampa Bay.
Soler would have to hit 9 more dongs to get us out of last place on that list.
If he hits 6 more, he'd get us out of last place for the lowest single season HR leader. (Mets: 45)
Is Soler going to get the AL HR title?
Fuck yeah Rocks. Our Minor league teams have been kicking ass in the playoffs
Cox went 6 innings, 6 Ks, 1 hit, 0 ERs.
That DSL title is considered the hardest title to win behind the World Series. Especially this year since there were no Venezuelan summer league teams so they all played in the DSL.
Minor league titles left and right
