That big time QB is getting his ass lit up in their first game. Welcome to the physicality of South GA, big fella.
Yeah. Not sure on score, but heard from a coach there that he's looking real hesitant. Had 2 pick sixes dropped and just fumbled on a sack. Heard he's been hit a good bit early. Edit: 7-3 Warner Robins at the half
They aren't showing up on the NFHS app thingy that I just signed up for tonight. Figured if my HS was showing games on there that Valdosta would.
Just checked, weird, very few updates on Twitter. I can’t believe it’s not all over my TL. Fucking Covid.
I watched the game, both teams have some major talent on them. It was almost unwatchable every other play was a penalty or OL not being able to pick up a four man pass rush.
Struggled early/deer in the headlights, but then got better. It was honestly hard to tell as he had zero time. Interception early was bad, but for first half kid got the shit kicked outta him. He had zero protection, actually started limping around but pulled through when it counted. Kid seems very tough.
tennesse head coach jeremy pruitt has never learned of asparagus is just the best fuckin YouTube clip
We played Valdosta in high school. When they ran out of the tunnel it was like playing a no scholarship limit bear bryant team. It seems like their were at least 150 players on their team. We looked across and saw 2 people with every number. Some numbers even had 3 players. They were the yellow jackets I think and they looked like a swarm coming out. We lost that game but it was close. They were the 3rd ranked high school team in the country that year. Now they're getting whooped by a city that only used to dominate little league baseball. Cycles.
Valdosta is the Wildcats. The Yellow Jackets could be Thomas County High School which is fairly close by.
apparently it had to do with GSHA hates Rush so if Garcia would have went anywhere else he would’ve been eligible
I know the school name was Valdosta. After alll these years I've probably mixed up the mascot. Valdosta does wear yellow?
This might be the idea he is trying to sell, but couldn't be further from the truth. If anything, the GHSA has had a fear of doing anything meaningful to him and have pandered to Rush over the years for absolutely no reason. Maybe this is their way of saying they aren't scared of him anymore
Oh yeah, Cook County is the Hornets. Starting to forget some of that after almost 9 years since I lived down there.
Lol what? In this scenario, how is the ghsa ruling fair? There has been tons of fuckery this year with the ghsa. Same thing happened with a move in at Carrolton (gator commit) that was ruled ineligible then transfered a second time and played immediately. I've heard the Grayson qb transferred out already and is eligible at a new school as well.
I don’t doubt the ghsa did Jimmy Dorsey/McEachern a solid by hammering Del Rio and Borders on a technicality
Where did I say the GHSA ruling was fair? All I'm saying is the comment about the GHSA hating Rush is laughable. That has never been the case. If anything, he's always gotten away with more because of who he is. You won't ever find me defending the GHSA.
Overall, not bad. Finished with something like 11/18 for 180yds and 4 total TD’s. When he missed, he mostly missed high. Could have been nerves. He threw an absolute rope 40yds on a line for a TD. That one was really impressive. He’s got a ton of zip on the ball. Bigger news from the game was that the #1 RB in Georgia, top 10 nationally, Phil Mafah went down with an ankle injury in the second qtr. came out later on crutches and in a cast (not a boot). He said he “tweaked” his ankle, but it looked like more than a tweak to me. I believe he was the first commit in the 2021 class for #Clemson Tigers .
Mafah's been a beast. Looked more like a broken ankle. Hopefully it's not too bad and he can heal quickly with no issues.
