Nearly disastrous end to that homestand but I’m so glad we pulled that one out yesterday. 9-1 home stand is something I’ll take. Not need to carry it over to the road
#slamdiego in full effect tonight. Coming back from 8-0 is pretty impressive. Winning it in the bottom of the 9th is just too sweet. :Chefkiss:
watching part of my first padres game in probably 4 weeks. just makes me so sad what happened to this team. obvioulsy hope we can find a way to turn it around the last month of the season and sneak into that WC game. i miss last year though
This team needs to pick their heads up and turn this thing around. It’s been a brutal few weeks. They aren’t out of it by a long shot but they need to fix this ASAP.
i'm afraid to actually look at the standings, but are we closer to the rockies than the giants at this point?
preller not getting a starting pitcher (and more) is inexcusable at this point. what a fucking disaster this season has been up till now
padres deadline trades for position players continue to be utter failures so maybe it's good we didn't trade away future assets for a starting pitcher?
think this may be my last game of the season that i watch. i just don't have the energy to stay up until 1:30 am and watch this team flail away. i'll continue to check the score every morning (and likely be disappointed) but i just can't do it any longer. can't remember a more disappointing season
Probably for the better. This team has a lot of the right pieces but pitching is a real problem. They screwed up not picking anyone up to help in the rotation.
the mlb umpires union is the worst organization in the world. this has to be the last game doug eddings works behind the plate in a padres game. this has clearly gotten personal with him and he's not professional enough to move past it.
Probably both, but definitely nervous. First major league game and he’s brought in that situation???? C’mon
Until the 9th they looked good. And apparently the trade today should fix the 9th. But damn. That is tough. No hitter through 6. Shutout through 8. Lose 4-2. classic Padres
It’s been a long time since I’ve been there, but I think they have a bud light deck in right field. They also have the grass in center that is $5-10 that’s nice.
