To me Jones both didn’t want to comply because he didn’t want to disclose but also Alex Jones is a lazy piece of shit who probably just didn’t want to do it because it wasn’t easy to comply and he kept firing counsel who told him to comply

could be a considerable amount. this type of tort allows for punitive damages. it's going to be annoying to chase him down for the money but it could yield some wacky asset forfeitures down the road if these parents basically want to hunt him to the ends of the earth for their rightfully won money.

Sometimes I think about how the whole idea of "American exceptionalism" was always a joke, but Sandy hook forever killed that. Republicans lining up to say "we just can't do anything to stop someone from massacring 5-6 year old kids with a machine gun" was probably the most disgusting political moment of my lifetime (and there's a lot of contenders).

depends on how much money he has. i know in texas that your homestead, two cars per person, and retirement accoutns are generally protected. if he has a bunch of money in like a brokerage or savings account, the families are going to get 100% of that.

certainly. the plaintiffs will have to request that, and i'm sure they will.

if he tries to move money around to hide it from a judgment, he's going to prison.

I think one allegation was that the money was moved far ahead of this result. My guess is that a bunch of forensic accountants would take on the job pro bono if needed. Hopefully he lives a life of absolute poverty

 

I'd go back to college and get a degree in accounting and do an apprenticeship in forensic accounting and then do it pro bono

 

If the Knowledge Fight podcasters and a plaintiff lawyer can track down the shell game of corporations Jones uses then actual experts will have zero issues.
