Herman brought all his boys from UH and a couple Ohio State retreads and it has worked swimmingly.
He probably regurgitated that take from 24/7
I believe urban only brought like half his Utah staff to Florida and hired star recruiters like Mattison, strong, and doc Holliday that understood big time recruiting and knew how to do it. I honestly think its one reasons why if you're big a program, unless you can find a no doubt about it group of 5 coach like Meyer that understands big time football you should hire a coordinator from a big time program. Those guys aren't tied to a staff and typically do a better job hiring a staff because they realize the importance of it and aren't loyal to a lower level staff.
I love Nebraska more than anyone but his ok boomer personality is so tiring. Especially when he’s not winning
Honestly I'm with you on this
This is potentially why we are soul mates.
Scott Frost mentality = baby boomer mentality might be the most on point thing you’ve ever said. Blame is in any other direction other than a possible introspection.
Nebraska has gone three years without a bowl game for the first time since it had six consecutive losing seasons from 1956-61.
The Huskers lost 27-24 to Iowa on Friday to finish 5-7. This comes after consecutive 4-8 seasons. In 2014, then-Nebraska AD Shawn Eichorst fired head coach Bo Pelini after beating Iowa and finishing 9-3, saying, “I had to evaluate where Iowa was.” Since then, Nebraska is 28-34 overall and 0-5 against Iowa.
We are bad, should feel bad, and do feel bad
Ain't nothing gonna make us feel bad about firing Bo though.
Seriously...stop with the Bo bullshit.
devine 's twitter account imo
Moos seems like such a two-face jack ass
Not gonna be really judgemental about Frost's program until they're in their third, fourth or maybe even fifth year of recruiting. Moos actually said that
No staff changes till year five!! Moos makes it really hard to respect Nebraska right now
Yeah pretty great being a fan of Nebraska mens sports teams right now
Baseball looking up. Maybe.
I mean he has to ride or die with Frost but yikes at the rest of that.
You don't get to talk about a golden era that stretched decades and gave you massive financial and facility benefits and call this a ground up build.
Neb fans need to get over this sad ass walk on bullshit. This isn't the 60s-90s. If you have 22 guys on your depth chart that are walk ons in today's game you better be coming off massive sanctions. You might get 1-2 guys a year that are overlooked but that is about it with 130+ FBS teams now.
Bo Pelini never wrote an article this bad
big concern is that Frost is more of Moos’s boss than the other way around. We need Frost + a world class staff, not Frost + his best friends.
The funny thing about the walkon program is that most of the key guys (or most of the guys at all) on our great teams weren't even walkons. There were some but most of our guys were scholarship dudes from elsewhere which has been a running joke in our team thread about Lawrence Philips being a walkon from O'Neil and Tommie Frazier being an 8 man star from Amherst.
Really I think the walkon rhetoric is mostly closeted racism + state inferiority complex but that's just my opinion.
plus just a significant number of fans not understanding the dynamics at play today that incentivize guys to get scholarships from smaller programs
Can you come give a PSA to husk nation?
As a player that walked on to Nebraska, I will not stand for this walk-on slander. The program was built on our white tuition paying backs and I refuse to believe otherwise
Most of our fans don't know or care that tuition is 4 times what it was in the mid 90s.
seriously might get this tattooed on my face
What a post
In getting it tattooed on my butt lol
Elect Bernie to resurrect the walk on program at Nebraska!
And the walk ons that did make a difference made a difference because the real “Nebraskan way” was to fill those farm boys full of roids and make them move into the weight room.
We failed to recruit Burrow twice with Pelini and Frost and failed to recruit James Husker (that's the motherfucker's real middle name) Lynch that ended up being one of the best DTs in the nation at Baylor under Riley. Pretty neat.
At least you guys still care about us enough to talk about us
We talk about Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein on here too
Hey, no staff changes can get you to the Pinstripe Bowl, which would of course be an improvement.
Kick us while we're down, Thomas Christ
Zach Duval is the 14th highest paid S&C in the nation and I'm dying laughing after seeing that
WYO improved so much after his dumb ass left town
Anything for a friend I guess lol
The two best assistant coaches we have (imo) make about half of what he makes too which adds to the silliness.
Our guys got in so much better shape since he left.
LMAO. Like Wyo or UCF even know how many squats they squated last year. But I know....
On the front page of TMB there is a 344 page thread on somebody named Ronald Savage and a 284 page thread of people posting pics of stuff they buy. Way to hire a coach worth 11 pages in 2 years.
I lied...there's a further message
