12 pages, bitch
It's been more than 2 years now... bazinga!!!!
YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!
I've been called worse by Mrs. Dantes on a Tuesday night
Didn’t want him, cooled on him, have silent commitment with Urban instead, not a true husk, etc etc
We Matt Lubick now
Is that good?
he's failed at oregon and washington and was a credit union manager or something last year
I’m going to take that as a no in this case.
Pretty privileged of Nebraska to assume that coaching at a midlevel Big 10 school is the “good life” compared to managing a credit union
It's the state motto
he was a pretty good WR coach though
is he OC in name only and frost will be calling plays or something?
This is Fox News level commentary, yikes.
I remember using Troy Walters to good effect in some vestige of Madden years ago.
Imagine firing the wrong coordinator and thinking it will help. He is not getting better at this.
Frost is quoted as saying he was the only guy he considered for the role
the only guy he considered got out of coaching after 2018 and spent the past year working for a bank in Fort Collins
i don't even know what that means. he was literally out of football working for a bank last year. how is nebraska not attracting better options for their offensive coordinator position? frost doesn't want to interview anyone to see how they'd work with the offense? that's insanity.
Yes, he is the OC/WR coach and Frost calls plays. So he is WR coach and will help with game planning during the week and be the eyes in the booth during games I’d imagine. We also just gave the run game coordinator title to our OL coach earlier this week so would assume Lubick is more of the pass game coordinator.
I think it’s clear that Nebraska’s recruiting challenges mostly fell on Troys shoulders and not on being located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
It’s fine now. Scott fixed it.
recruiting classes have been pretty solid the last 2 years tbh
He's a Bruce Feldman guy so you get positive headlines there.
Perhaps my comment was too strong. I just didn't think there was any nuance to your post whatsoever. He was a good WR coach for numerous P5 schools (which you stated later), promoted to Oregon OC (Helfrich's last year), and Washington Co-OC for 2 years. He took time off to work at the family credit union in between jobs because apparently Petersen was a dick to work for (spin it). Also was an analyst for us last year, reportedly. Hopefully to learn how to shuffle bags to players amirite. As 20/20/20/20 posted above, he hits on the areas we need him to and is essentially a figurehead at the position.
At least judging by his history, he'll hopefully be a better recruiter and position coach here than Walters ever was. Our recruiting has actually been really impressive for a team like us, despite being awful on the field. The DC should go too but Frost ain't letting go both in between his second and third year. His hubris is already bruised enough with bringing his own staff and the lack of good results, even though he likely wouldn't admit it. Of the questionable or poor decisions he's made at times, I like this move. /rant
So it’s weird and I saw this a month back and laughed at it but with this hire I went digging again:
On Dec 4th this guy said Lubick was already on Frost’s payroll and waiting for a spot officially. When I first saw that retweeted I laughed but now I’m wondering if Frost told his old buddy Lubick he’d have an OC job in 2020 and that’s why he stepped down from UW and has been slinking around for a year.
that JASON guy clearly just posted a bunch of predictions and this time one came out true lol classic twitter move
For the record, this is pretty impressive coming from you, rolly.
Hes a great coach with a great pedigree that exceeded the coach before him at each step.
Had a top 20 offense with a true freshman QB and 4 freshman OL at Oregon.
But have you heard about the credit union
It’s says the Good Life right in the tweet
So was he also in Scott’s wedding? Seems to be a prerequisite for coordinator jobs on his staff
Make sense, its a hard time when your own state is recruiting against you
We don't give a shit. We'll take the fans however we get em.
At least we don't have to associate with Timothy Tebow forever and ever amen
During Nebraska football games, networks should ask us “are you still watching Nebraska football”
And here people were always telling me the N stands for Knowledge!
Other suggestions based on your viewing history: Oregon State, Arkansas, Rutgers, Duke, and Kansas Football
I forgive you for your sins
Stop stop we're already dead
Forde really knows how to reel 'em in
If Dan Dakich was a big J...
