For those of you that missed Big Red Football, Scoot Farts managed to fuck up a 28-3 win by embarrassingly failing at trying to run up the score on Buffalo.
Which was reviewed and allowed to stand. But that wasn’t enough so he took a timeout to yell at the refs over a meaningless score. And that wasn’t enough. So on 4th down up 28-3 with 10ish seconds left he sends a kicker out who has zero confidence to subsequently miss a mid range FG. It was all fucking stupid. Feel good after the deep ball with a couple knees and move on.
We flexed and ruptured a biceps. I will die on this hill. 1. Because we suck and that shit will be remembered by PJ Fleck, Kirk Ferentz, and Paul Chryst 2. Fuck Scoot Farts
I highly doubt other B10 west coaches care about the field goal attempt. I don’t think it was that crazy to try to get a FG to hopefully get some confidence back for a kicker. Frost even said they planned to run it out until Buffalo called a TO.
Seriously guys I mean I hate scoot as much as the next guy but if we hold OU to three points, if we played em ten times we’d win four
The couple replays I saw it didn’t look like a forward pass. Either way I don’t think it’s a huge deal. Frost sucks, I’d fire him today if I could, but there is a hatred/obsession by some Husks that is a little weird imo where everything he does is the wrong thing (99.9% of the time it is don’t get me wrong).
Looked pretty clear to me...released at ~10.5 yard line and caught a hair short of the 10. Now, had that been a play to win a game, I'd probably be incensed and don the scarlet glasses, but it's a lot easier to be objective when your coach is a total shitheel and constantly acts like a spoiled child. I respect your urge to give Scott the benefit of the doubt, but you do it way too often at this point imo. I guess I'm one of the weird ones though.
I 100% agree with the bolded, again the dude probably pisses me off just as much as anyone else when it comes to results and even more so the excuses and constantly acting like a spoiled brat. There are just certain times where personally I think it’s the least of our worries, which is when I will chime in. This instance specifically, no matter who the coach is I wouldn’t care. The late TD would have come with mostly backups, and sure normally the FG is a bad look but given the situation I don’t mind trying to get Culp one more chance to actually make one.
You’re leaving out some pretty big meat in the middle of the turd sandwich that was that last drive. I don’t necessarily disagree with the scrub TD or FG to try to gain confidence. That’s a pretty dry and incomplete description of what happened though imo.
My original post was a reply about him failing to run up the score so that’s what I was talking about (that and the thing about other coaches remembering which is wild imo) Only other thing I can think people would be mad about was him yelling at the refs after the review. Which again, personally I don’t care, the refs were bad all game (both ways) so if he had finally just seen enough whatever. He’s a zombie on the sideline 99% of the time, it’s not like he’s going Pelini style on refs all game. There’s 1,000 things Frost has done to piss me off, this one just doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.
Dude he threw a tantrum about a questionable call on a meaningless touchdown at the end of a game against fucking Buffalo. And then his kicker missed a FG (again) in and attempt to run up the score with 7 seconds left. It was a hilarious incompetent dick stepping.
Bo was just an asshole. Scott’s a spoiled child. This is yet another data point that supports this unfortunate truth. Yeah, in the grand scheme of things, this is a blip. Yet again, that’s a fucking problem. This sort of unnecessary dick stepping, death by a thousand unprofessional, unaccountable cuts is exactly why we’re here.
lol there’s been talk about how he’s terribly unorganized and just leaves people/recruits hanging, late for meetings, etc. What comedy he didn’t even call these guys back.
If he's dealing with a search firm, that's not really the point. Getting a rep as "that guy" is probably pretty damaging, as is drunken whooring and losing most of your games.
I mean yeah not how I'd handle it but if he kept winning games at UCF or went to Neb and won a bunch no one would give a shit that he is a bit rude. You get paid for wins.
Whenever I talk to my family in Nebraska I realize how bad the victim complex is there. IDK if it's a new thing or what, but everything that goes wrong is someone else's fault. The fans were booing and complaining about anything/everything. Our team is led by a loser, full of losers, and is cheered on by losers. It's tough to be a fan when it means I have to join their group of martyr's.
Love hearing my friends I grew up with or relatives comment on California when I moved there. Liberals this, weirdos, crazy people.. etc. Not a single person who commented has ever traveled to California
