This board has changed fundamentally in the last 10 years. In 2011, five pages into this thread and the board already would be posting pics of the bartender and a leaked sex tape with Frost by now. In 2021, we have two pages of pictures of Mario Verduzco in baggy coudoroy pants looking like he wants to be an extra in an early 90’s MC Hammer video.
Show me a beautiful woman and I will show you a man who is tired of fucking her. One of my friends loves to use this quote quite a bit. His ex wife also just took most of his shit in their recent divorce.
I’ve been to one of these parties, it was about 6 years ago. Before Frost but everything I’m reading doesn’t surprise me. It wasn’t an Eyes Wide Shut party by any means but there were some high profile people and coaches. Lots of good looking women too. My accountant got me into the party by the way.
I get that ... but oregon people act like they have won the lottery. You guys need to win as well as you recruit because the Pac 12 is mehhhhh and you won last year and you lost to a lot of meh teams and covid !!! Nebraska sucks, I know this. Oregon recruits well at this point and that’s literally the only thing, I get it about Frost. I seriously do. But you oregon hasn’t done anything since chip. (Last year )
I see a 5 page thread on our incompetence and internal strife. Do we have a 5 page thread on Texas sucking for the last 11 years? Didn't think so!
Before he was the athletic director at our 1-aa Omaha location for the last 12 years he was a tv personality on ESPN surprised you are not familiar with him except I guess Bama fan early 2000s nevermind
One thing I am here for is Bobfather's fury of 10,000 suns because Trev was responsible for killing UNO's wrestling program.
Nah he just bounced because of his role I believe. Decided to say fuck it and didn't show up one day.
Dude sacked Charlie Ward 3 times in national title game and was the 5th pick (injuries during nfl stint). You could argue he was the best defensive player for Nebraska in the 90’s. That’s how damn good the dude was. I also don’t think he will take ANY shit from Frost. Legit isn’t afraid to be that guy.
Haha oh man he really did that. ESPN fired Alberts after the college football analyst failed to show up for work at the network's studios in Bristol, Conn., according to John Walters of SI.com. "He phoned and said that he wasn't going to show up," Mark Shapiro, ESPN's vice-president of programming and production, said, "and when he didn't, he was in breach of his contract and we terminated him." Alberts, a former all-America defensive end at Nebraska and member of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, was embarking on his fourth season as part of ESPN's popular College Football Scoreboard and College Football Gameday team. But on Sunday morning, in the midst of college football's first big weekend of the season, Alberts phoned ESPN's coordinating producer of college football, Ed Placey, and voiced his discontent. "He phoned us and told us that he was unhappy with his role on College GameDay," said Shapiro. "He felt that he was playing second fiddle." As the day wore on, according to both Shapiro and Alberts, there were several conversations between Alberts and ESPN senior vice presidents Jed Drake and Norby Williamson. Finally, Alberts announced that he would not be reporting for work that afternoon [ESPN and ESPN2 aired three college football games between 3:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.]. Once Alberts failed to appear for his studio show assignment with host Rece Davis and fellow analyst Mark May, he was fired. "They first wanted me to resign," Alberts said from his Atlanta home. "Then they fired me. I obviously have a serious problem with the word 'breach', but that's something my attorney will work out."
On September 6, 2005, Alberts was terminated by ESPN for breaching his contract when he declined to report to work; Alberts later claimed he did not want to "play second fiddle" to the more prominent cast of College GameDay, Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso.[
Fast forward a bit On September 6, 2025 Alberts was terminated by the University of Nebraska for breaching his contract when he declined to report to work; Alberts later claimed he did not want to "play second fiddle" to the more prominent teams like Illinois, Purdue, Maryland and Rutgers”
I mean he fits right in w the entitled Husker football culture. Perfect fit! *no offense most of our husks, most of you are A-Ok im my book
I remembered him once I saw his picture. Sorry, I will do better next time at remembering Nebraska players from the 90's that haven't been on TV in 15 + years.
