Feel like a lot of people don’t realize he’s been an AD for the last 12 years. Did a pretty solid job there too. as someone who’s usually down on Nebraska athletics, I’m not totally upset with this hire.
Fwiw, and I’m probably in the minority here and from a national perspective this has to be hilarious. butttt, when he took over at Nebraska-Omaha they only had 1 division 1 sport, hockey, and they played it at an arena that they shared with Creighton and the city of omaha. The athletic department was something like $6 million in the hole. It was super unpopular, but he cut football and wrestling (the 2 most successful athletic programs). From there they transitioned everything to division 1. Hockey plays in the best conference in the country (has made a frozen 4). The other teams play in the Summit, a solid conference. Hockey now has 1 of the 5 best arenas in the country they share with basketball. A gorgeous 8,000 seat or so arena. Baseball just got their own stadium as well. Both in the middle of Omaha. Financially the department is in the best shape it’s been in a long time & Trev made some really solid hires coaching wise. He also doesn’t take any shit. If the Frost shit turns out to be true and he sucks, I think he WILL be the guy to have the stones to tell him to pound sand. Honestly, this could be one of those hires that Nebraska accidentally gets right. Not because they meant to get it right. Trev is not your standard ‘in-house’ hire.

We already have a platinum board here. It’s called Dad Platinum® and it’s something I started as an extension of the Official Dads to TMB Thread (which I also started)
