Correction, a spinoff of Scrubs that has some of the same characters and the same name starts tonight on ABC.
I agree it was definitely one of the best finale's I've ever seen. With that said I'm always down for some new Scrubs so I'm going with
Yeah, as a Scrubs fan, I'm glad that it's still on. However, the finale last year was incredible and I'm afraid that this new show won't live up to past seasons of Scrubs and that the new season might ruin some of the things from the finale.
JD, Elliot, Kelso, Carla, and the Janitor will all appear as guest stars but it's not the same show. It's set at a medical school not the hospital. Bill Lawrence wanted to name it something other than Scrubs but ABC wouldn't let him. Only Cox, Turk, and the blond sarcastic intern from last year are returning as full time castmembers.
He'll be gone for good after an episode or two. They said they let the actor write his own exit. So at least it will probably be funny.
as a scrubs fan im going to give it a chance before i judge it but im not expecting it to live up to the older scrubs. i do get bill lawrences stand point though, he gets to keep over 100 of his friends employed by continuing the show.
ok well after giving it a fair shot ill say that the new season is complete shit so far. I will watch it until it gets canceled just because i have always loved the show, but it is pretty fucking bad.
I guarantee Lawrence is paying little to no attention to this new Scrubs. He's focusing on Cougar Town, especially since it's the show his wife is on.
Oh and the show was awful. The only time I laughed the whole hour was when JD said the thing about Fonzie and Jo from the Facts of Life getting together and Turk said "I would watch the hell out of that show" Dr. Cox isn't funny anymore. The main blond girl character sucks. The sarcastic blond girl from last year is pretty much the only funny character left on the show. I don't have high hopes.
The episode felt really recycled. Best part was when J.D. said "Call me Dr. D, or Dr. Dizzle if you're in a pinch."
I think the overall problem was that they are trying to make it into a new show but they felt the need to crowbar all the older characters into the show and it just didn't fit. Also, the whole idea that Cox and Turk are going to be the only 2 original castmembers to stick around and we're just supposed to ignore the fact that their wives disappear from their lives is a flawed concept from the start.
I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy every episode that J.D. is in, and then masturbate with my tears to Denise and the Kangaroo bitch. Hell, I'd masturbate to pregnant Elliot if I had to.
