yea tbh i have nothing to back what i said . it's just how i pictured them. i just felt like they would be more mediterranean because of their climate, the fact that they have the same faith and language as the rest of westeros, and through the interbreeding of the light skinned dornish. that strikes me more of just being from a different region than more like foreigners
nope. the dornish are looked down upon by most of the seven kingdoms because of their accents and different customs though
Emma Stone was just on Jimmy Fallon playing charades trying to get her teammate to guess Game of Thrones. They failed
Season 3 thread is locked so I'm posting this here. From facebook: Game of Thrones Game of Thrones Season 3 will start production in early July. Locations include Belfast, Northern Ireland, Croatia, Iceland and Morocco.
I know at one point we were discussing hints from the book that Renly was gay. IIRC the show made it more blunt than the book. Here's one sign: " 'Though much better dressed, " Littlefinger quipped. 'Lord Renly spends more on clothing than half the ladies of the court.' It was true enough. Lord Renly was in dark green velvet, with a dozen golden stags embroidered on his doublet. A cloth-of-gold half cape was draped casually across one shoulder, fastened with an emerald brooch. 'There are worse crimes,' Renly said with a laugh. 'The way you dress, for one.' "
there was another passage in the books that was more direct than that one. something about his bed and why there were no women in it or something.
Renly tells Stannis that he'd married Margery, a maid. Stannis replied "In your bed, she's likely to die that way."
And honestly Renly having a 'Rainbow Guard' instead of a Kingsguard with his guards wearing rainbow colored cloaks is the most forehead slappingest giveaway that a lot of folks probably ignored because they weren't looking at it through modern eyes where rainbow is synonymous with gay
Yep. Jamie had a good one. Said something about sticking his sword somewhere in Loras where even Renly couldn't find it.
Yeah thats my favorite one. It was response to him giving Brienne shit and he told him he better fuck off.
Finally finished book 2 (slow reader, yeah I know)... and get to start book ASOS tonight. For the first time I'll be ahead of the show, and really looking forward to reading without knowing what happens (although book 2 and season 2 were pretty different)
Loved finally getting ahead of the show. Was talking to my brother last night, and he was saying how he can't wait to see what happens with x, y, and z in season 3. I was all
i am now a bookfag, started game of thrones a couple of days ago. trying to read all the books before the show comes back
