Ya thinking about it some more I bet Euron attacks Yara's fleet at Dragonstone and leaves it decimated. Just kinda going off the trailer there though
Book thread talking about the dragon having 3 heads, the dragonbinder horn and other book-only sources is pretty comical If you've done that much research why not read the books?
Their fastest ships... I'm wondering where non crow's eye Euron aquired all the extra Iron Born to sail this sudden armada?
I enjoyed it. The retching constantly was funnier as you notice the pots he's cleaning out contained excrement that looks disturbingly similar to the "soup" he's serving
Littlefinger is getting fucked up by someone who looks like Jon in what looks like the winterfell crypts in the preview. Does littlefinger tell Jon about his parentage?
Noticed during a rewatch that Arya said the Freys should have ripped out the root and stem of the Starks then Sansa basically wanting the Umbers and Karstarks executed Stark women are ruthless
Gotta think it does. That's why I'm confused by people saying there was nothing to last night's episode. These are legitimate plot devices that you'll miss if you're not paying attention.
jason made a valid point on the ringer after show. bran's got the hard drive w/ the entire history of the world. i think he know if him passing through the wall breaks the barrier.
During that scene I was screaming at Dolorous Edd not to let him through. Wife was wondering why it was such a big deal. I replied about Bran being marked by the Night King, who could then defeat protective magic like he did at the three-eyed raven's sanctuary (The frustrating thing is that Bran should know better, but he keeps fucking up). Wife was all "But the Wall's just ice" and I'm like "Uhh, no...."
Last season he ordered every tree in the Iron Islands get cut down so they could build the biggest armada the world has ever seen.
He's bringing back Ellaria Sands (perhaps the other sand snakes and Yara) back to KL after possibly taking over or destroying Yara's fleet. Ellaria Sand may not be the most meaningful for Cersei but it is for Euron because not only would he bring a hated enemy for Cersei but he would also be capturing the person who killed Cersei's daughter right under Jaime's nose. Winning Cersei's "trust" and embarrassing Jaime seems like a huge win for Euron.
I don't remember directly but I'm sure he does since that is his type of business. I was thinking about that earlier. LF was using Sansa to try to gain power. Now that Jon is king in the North and it looks like LF is striking out with Sansa, maybe he will move on to Gendry somehow? edit: Varys had to have known about Gendry as well; no way he wouldn't imo
Bran as Three-eyed raven knows that he has to bring about the war allow Jon to permanently end the White Walker threat.
nah, any memory that's been embedded into the roots of the ground can be accessed via the weirwood network.
I'm not sure about the mechanics, but it looked like bloodraven downloaded everything he had into bran before he died, and bloodraven can see well beyond the trees. to the original point, i have a hard time believing that bran would pass through if he had even a suspicion that it would allow the nk to pass.
Have you read the books? I wouldn't say there's show spoilers other than the last episode being discussed
Yeah just stayed away during the offseason to avoid any spoilers. Not that people post them in the open, I just have a hard time not opening them.
Bloodraven also told him in the Hodor episode that he wasn't ready, then did an emergency download that lasted maybe 12 minutes, which is a poor substitute for the training he'd been giving Bran. Just because Bran has the downloaded material (whatever that may mean) doesn't necessarily mean he understands what to do with it. He already showed lousy judgment recently by allowing the NK to mark him. I certainly think it's plausible that he's just screwing up again because he's still a scared 16-yo boy who doesn't yet know how to harness these powers properly. Or, as someone else said, he knows he has to do this in order to bring things to a head. I'm also thinking that if there were no threat of circumventing the Wall's magic, the writers could easily have included a short convo between Meera and Bran where she asks him if the NK will be able to breach the Wall because Bran is marked, and he tells her no, it doesn't work that way, I've seen it, or something like that. That they didn't spend the eight seconds doing that makes me suspect that they're setting up for an "Oh Shit" moment.
Regarding Bran bringing about the war, he might have to do so before all the able-bodied humans kill each other fighting over the iron throne. Just spitballing, but it could be possible he doesn't even understand his own actions yet on some of this stuff.
Right, but where did this huge influx of extra Soldiers/Sailors just appear from. I realize it's irrevelant, it's just some of the shit I over think. Like, what are the Lannister Army numbers at now? 15,000? 30,000?
I assume he called them all in from raiding to help in the coming war. That and maybe a bunch came in from raiding for the Kingsmoot?
Wouldn't Euron have sailed around Dragonstone on his way to Kings Landing? Why not have him setup shop there and wait for Dany?
He is saying why Didn't Euron post up at Dragonstone to fuck up Dany. And I would assume it is because he doesnt have anything to counter the dragons, yet
I'm saying he wouldn't have sailed past dragonstone. The iron islands are on the other side so I would assume he went south around Dorne. Not north and around.
Sorry, I misunderstood and wasnt really paying attention. Thought you were making the point that Euron and Dany were on opposite sides of the war Regardless, Dragonstone sits at the entrance to Blackwater Bay. So, while Euron wouldn't have gone directly past it if he came from the South, it would not be very far out of the way.
