Fuck that pisses me off. One, we all know those books aren't coming. Two, what does that have to do with not doing an adaptation to RR? You could say the same thing about any book adaptation.
There are new photos released for the show, which are interesting. http://www.barstoolsports.com/newyork/more-game-of-thrones-photos-leak-and-theyre-pretty-badass/ Surprised not on here yet. Speaks to the interest level right now. Fucking GRRM and the show being delayed 2 months.
Observations/possible spoilers from trailer Spoiler - we get a naval battle - Dany attacks and breaches either Kings Landing or Casterly Rock - Jon and Tormund go north of the wall at some point - Jon and Littlefinger go at it in the crypts - Ellaria scissors someone
Euron/Cersei vs all, Jaime kills Cersei then last few minutes of finale is everyone but Jon relaxing until they're all told how truly fucked they are.
pretty much. saw a post on twitter a few days ago from a cast member that said that viewers are going to be shocked with how quickly the plot is going to move forward this year. no slow build up... straight up bust-a-nut 30 seconds in.
I have refrained watching for the past season and a half because the show caught up to the books. I stopped about halfway through season 5 because I didn't want any spoilers. I avoided most of them other than the big Jon one. Now that I know for a fact GRRM will never finish the books, I rewatched season 5 and 6. Great show, but goddamn I hate GRRM
Three questions Spoiler 1.Who would be her enemy to the west? Euron? 2.How much of military can the Lannister's still have? 3.There's no way this fight last long, right? Three dragons, Dorne, Highgarden, Unsullied, and 100k dothraki vs the Lannisters(and the Freys?).
Spoiler the whole point is she's going to end up like Aerys, cornered and scared and just goes insane and Jaime has to repeat history. they'll make a battle or two happen but it's all going to underscore the impending doom marching south on them and how insignificant these battles are when true annihilation lies ahead. also if that's not how Jaime/Cersei ends it will be criminally bad storytelling.
Supposedly it was in Casterly Rock, so Jaime must have used Little Finger's helicopter to go and get it.
Definitely fell down an Alt Shift X and other GoT YouTube video makers rabbit hole yesterday. Found some history/lore videos where the character narrating them sound just like the actor/character from the show. Like I'd believe someone if they said it was. Maybe they were pulled from DVD extras or something.
last season is only 6 episodes and may not air until 2019. 13 episodes to finish a story that will take 2000+ pages go fuck yourself, B&W.
A showfag friend of mine keeps sending me theory videos from The Last Harpy on YouTube. PSA: They're bad, don't watch them.
Jon's real name. Spoiler I guess Spoiler http://screenrant.com/game-thrones-jon-snow-real-name-jaehaerys-targaryen/ Game of Thrones: Jon Snow’s Real Name Revealed Spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 7. – Jon Snow’s real name from Game of Thrones may have just been revealed. From the very start of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series in 1996, it was clear that there was more to Jon Snow, the supposed bastard son of Warden of the North Ned Stark, than met the eye. As the books continued, the predominant fan theory that emerged was R+L=J: that Jon was actually the son of Ned’s sister, Lyanna, and secret lover Rhaegar Targaryen. This was finally confirmed in a flashback-vision at the end of Game of Thrones Season 6where Bran Stark (presumed to be Snow’s half-brother, now revealed as his cousin) saw back to Jon’s birth, where his mother dies and Ned promises to protect her son. However, we still have a long way to go until Jon takes up his royal mantle, although we do now know that when he does he won’t be going by Jon Targaryen. The new issue of Empire magazine (via Reddit) contains a feature on the upcoming Season 7, during which they confirm a long-suspected theory that Jon’s birth name is actually Jaehaerys. You can read their full piece below: “As we saw in the last episode of season six, Bran’s (Isaac Hempstead Wright) psychic time-traveling “greensight” revealed the true nature of Jon’s birth heritage and his real name: Jaehaerys Targaryen. “Bran’s now in this precarious situation in which it’s just him and Meera [Ellie Kendrick], and he has all of this information that could change the entire story,” says Hempstead Wright. And it’s not just about Jon. “He knows about the origin of the White Walkers, too.”” This possibility has been circling with some strength since the finale of Season 6, with many suspecting that a dying Lyanna mouthed the word “Jaehaerys” to Ned, and now it’s confirmed. That it’s not come from the show may be an oversight, but could also indicate we’re supposed to take it as a fact going into the new, shorter run of episodes. In terms of impact on the show, it’s more ceremonial that anything, serving as a signifying of Jon’s true importance; it’s a common Targaryen name, best known being used by the fourth and longest running King of the Seven Kingdoms, Jaehaerys I, 200 years before the events of the series. Of course, while Ned did honor his sister’s wishes and took care of his nephew, he couldn’t use her given name – at the time, the newly crowned King Robert Baratheon was hunting down all remaining Targaryens to make his rule official and Jaehaerys would stick out like a sore thumb – and so when posing the baby as his illegitimate son gave him a very removed, Northern variation. How exactly the name will play into the ultimate reveal of Jon’s parentage to the rest of Westeros – or whether the destiny-shirking hero will want to even take it up – is unclear, but that it’s cited here suggests it will be important. One strongly-supported fan theory that may actually have been alluded to in the recent trailer is that a pre-emptive tomb in the Winterfell crypts will attest to the truth. Whatever the case, it’s only becoming more and more evidentJaehaerys is the series most essential character.
Since when is the king of the north a DE recruit for Ole Miss? Srs tho how are we pronouncing that? Jay-Harris?
Spoiler Absolutely Casterly Rock hence all the lion banners every where Definitely going north of the Wall and I think they meet up with Arya and Nymeria Jon is going to kill Littlefinger if given the chance for what he does to Sansa She is fucking Yara Greyjoy and I think their uncle is going to jump Yara and Daenerys at the Battle of the Blackwater with the help of the Lannisters and have an amazing naval battle. I can't fucking wait to see the field of fire part 2 with the Dothraki in open field combat. I'll be curious to see if that prisoner that gets released is Arya saving Edmure Tully at Riverrun
Spoiler We know Arya is going North and you see a ragged out person putting their hands out the food slot 1:19 on the official trailer . Well Riverrun or at the Twins could be either, or way out in left field it could be the nun Cersei gave to the mountain. Forgot Melisandre arriving at Dragonstone to serve Daenerys.
Spoiler gotcha. The theory I read said it was Jorah Mormont, possibly in an Oldtown dungeon, waiting for a greyscale cure.
Spoiler That is a new one, we know Arya was at the Twins and it shows Arya looking under a door then immediately a hand reaching out, so that is why I came up with that theory.
