Time to cancel my activities for the day. The naval battle, field of fire pt 2/Casterly Rock, and Jon and company going north of the wall (why they would do this, I have no idea) all look intense as fuck.
Spoiler Looks like Bran and Meera make it back to Winterfell. Also looks like Beric and the BWOB meet up with Jon and head north of the wall with him. Not sure about the Hound and Arya. Also not a huge fan of Sansa potentially breaking bad.
My guess at why they are going north of the wall Spoiler They have to try to convince the rest of Westeros somehow that the White Walkers are real
Also that shot of Jon from behind as he cuts that dude down They're gonna go full Aragorn with him this season
Eh, I think considering Beric is there and his sword lights on fire, someone convinces them that he's Azor Ahai and they run a pre-emptive strike. Both reasons are still bad imo and I hope the show does a better job at explaining it than us.
Maybe they aren't north of the wall? I assumed that as well at first but maybe the white walkers are already south of the wall at that point.
Just rewatched The Winds of Winter and holy shit is that a masterpiece. The music during Cersei's WMD is absolutely perfect.
It's amazing how well the show is able to make you hate a character one minute and cheer them on the next. Watching Cersei torment Septa Unella was awesome. It's probably the only she ever did that I cheered.
They ave been hinting at this so hard, to the point where I almost feel like they are intentionally trying to mislead us.
Agreed. It would be so out of character for her at this point. More likely, trying to seduce her to the dark side is what finally gets Littlefinger killed.
Sansa is not going to turn on Jon if Arya is around, assuming there's a reunion, odds are that LF can turn Arya against Sansa for a while and that will likely lead to LF's demise. While Arya was fleeing for he life Sansa was playing nice with the Lannister in KL there may be some resentment that LF can exploit.
I feel like if Bran makes it back to Winterfell in time, there's no way Sansa falls for LFs shit. Bran will definitely have some info. I think it'll be pretty poetic that Sansa works LF this season by using his tricks on him. I didn't like the whole Ramsay situation but there's no way she can trust him after that
6 episodes that are 80 minutes each is a fair trade off to missing out on 10 episodes that are 60 minutes each. It's still shorter but it will allow for better storytelling.
Oh, yeah my apologies, I'm dumb. I misread that thinking it said 8 feature length episodes rather than season 8.
Doing a series re-watch right now and just got to season 6. Noticed a couple of things that I'm sure have been beaten to death before but I haven't seen them so I'm sharing to see if someone can point me in the right direction. In season 4, episode 7 there's a scene where the Red Woman is taking a bath and Selyse comes in to talk to her about their plans to take Shireen with them when they leave for the Wall. Mel is in the bath in her young body and doesn't have the necklace on throughout that whole scene. Then the thing happens with taking off the necklace in the season 6 premiere. Any explanation other than a plot hole? Also, and this is very petty, but when Bran very first makes it inside the tree north of the Wall, the Bloodraven has very long hair. Then we get to season 6 and it's all very short and well kept. Just a very minor continuity error I'd think.
I noticed this in my rewatch a couple months ago. At first I thought that the show was ruined and was about to deem it unwatchable from hence forth. But then I was all "duh Hank, the necklace obviously doubles as a vibrator and is in her snatch!"
The necklace isn't the key to her youth. Her faith is. At that moment her faith was at it's lowest point which lead to her appearance change. At least that's what I tell myself.
