would feel a bit anticlimactic if the Night King is gone this early in the season but I guess for most people the throne is still what matters most. I always viewed the story differently but I’m probably wrong at least from a show standpoint.
Don't remember that many white walker leaders. And NK about to land on his dragon right? :bartscottcantwait:
someone asked me this before and I wasn’t sure. are the walker leaders all first men made that way by the CotF or is that what Craster’s babies became as well?
They made the NK and he made the white walkers. Not sure how they are made though in the show. They’re different in the books
how dare someone have an opinion. for the record I enjoyed this week but who cares if people have a different point of view.
I for one look forward to complaints about former child actors coming from people who can't appreciate the subtleties of British acting
Not sure which was better - "No thanks I brought my own" Shitty AMC Show a giant and being nursed by his wife The stating ovation after the knighting
I mean, people’s beefs with the show are legit. I feel like this is one of the better episodes of the last 2 seasons.
Episode really didn't do much for me but seems I'm in the minority so probably need a rewatch. Think my expectations for pacing of the season we're way off & that's part of it. Either way next week is going to be amazing though and that's all these two episodes were for.
Agreed. I loved this episode, it was back to the great thrones dialogue we saw in earlier seasons. Next week is going to be absolute insanity.
I’m also with you and probably in the minority. Seemed like a lot of filler for a season of six episodes. - Do I really need minutes devoted to Arya losing her virginity? - I really didn’t like how Jon delivered the news to Dany he’s a Targ. He doesn’t want the throne. He never has. He cares about the White Walkers and saving humanity. Why the pauses when she asks him the questions? He could have just easily said, “I don’t care. I don’t want the throne. Lead our people. We don’t need this right now.” IMO, that would have been more in line with his character arc. The pauses seem like they were added just to create tension between the characters without history to show it would be the case. I don’t know. I enjoyed some moments, but I felt like it was a definite step back from the premiere.
Episode was great. Each character got a little refreshed in everyone’s minds before they kill-off whoever they want next week. The two episode setup is more than fine with me now. I feel like complaints about something like this are they same types of complaints that LOTR got for having a long ending. You can’t just wrap up eight hours of film with a Porky Pig “THATS ALL, FOLKS”, it needed way more than that. This upcoming battle has been building for years. It’s necessary.
I’m not optimistic he survives this war. I got a vibe like he might try to be a hero in the battle and get himself killed or Bronn shows up like Cersei paid him to do and kills him. Could end up being the extra motivation for Jaime to go back and kill Cersei. Really though, I know nothing
The entire Ohio State team would die like the rest of the Starks will next episode. Blame yourself. And I thought we were nerd bros outside of our respective rivalries. I’m a little hurt right now.
Next week is going to be ME 2 suicide mission level insanity. Might as well add a final save point with a "No turning back if proceed" sign as well.
imo locks to get got next week: beric brienne theon tormund edd grey worm locks to survive: tyrion sansa dany jon jaime sam arya bran wild cards: jorah (lean dead) davos (lean survive) sandor (lean survive) varys (lean survive) pod the rod (lean dead) gendry (lean survive)
I could also see Sam dying. I mean he has told Jon about dragonglass and his lineage, so I don’t see what else he has to contribute. He’s apparently a fan favorite, so I expect him to die. Ghost better not die though. That’s the one, along with Tormund, that will ruin me.
