The only reason I'd call bullshit on episode 5's leak specifically is because it would indicate that every single main "hero" character makes it out of the war alive, which is more of a ridiculous idea than little Sam being the next Night King.
I really hope this is how everything turns out. didn't like the plot leak posted earlier. having Drogon die would be the worst
Agreed. I've liked every one of these leaks except this one. Only scenes I liked were the long awaited Clegane bowl and jamies royal killing spree. The night king had been up to no good way before lil Sam popped out so that can't be the whole thing. Show doesn't care to much about continuity but that's pretty glaring. Further melissandre can't be Nissa Nissa because isn't the rule that Jon has to put the sword through his "heart?" Killing her would mean little to him despite her role in the resurrection. Pretty much everyone lives? Hard pass. No Ghost unless he is a howling in the distance? Hard pass. Team Ghost is Nissa Nissa. Worst part is this makes me doubt the rest of the videos more.
Nope. He brags about his heritage and some point but nothing specific like that. I think the only targ that far north would have been blood raven though I guess anyone could have taken a teip that way.
I assume we're taking the YouTube's of the individual episodes as more accurate than the first one posted that summarized the whole seasON?
Rhaegar looked too much like Viserion, aka a fuckboi. Should have casted someone that looked like "A Knight's Tale" Heath Ledger.
First of all, it’s Viserys. Viserion is the dragon named after him. Secondly, Rhaegar and Viserys are supposed to be nearly identical, with Rhaegar being a few inches taller. Harry Lloyd was probably the best cast actor of the entire show when it came nailing his character. What a weird and bad take.
I think the issue is Rhaegar is supposed to be a great warrior who went toe to toe with Robert who is huge in the books. In the show he looks nothing like the warrior you would picture him as. They obvously were more concerned with making him look Targ as opposed to his size.
I think that’s a very common misconception about Rhaegar. We know he’s a borderline elite jouster. But we have zero idea of his sword skills. And by all accounts Robert one-shotted him with his warhammer. I pictured him as a taller Legolas basically.
Being one-shotted by in his prime Bobby B doesn't detract from anything, prime Robert pretty much was the most elite killer in the series.
No it definitely doesn’t take anything away from him. Just saying it’s the only thing we have in the books with regards to his swordsmanship
Very true. Robert in the show and concurrently in the books is older than he was during the rebellion and has gone fat, as Ned kidded him about.
No, not established. A theory is that Brynden Rivers (bastard son on Aegon IV) who became Lord Commander of The Watch and who disappeared north of the Wall in search of his son, was Craster’s father. Theorists add that being a Targaryen, he was familiar with incest (his lover was his sister) and, thus, Crastor’s arrangement was sort of in keeping with the Targaryen practice.
Finally convinced the wife to watch GoT when I told her the only thing I wanted for Father's Day was for her to watch s1e1 with me. Fast foward 2 weeks and we're up to the Mountain and the Viper tonight. She likes Oberyn, so this should be fun.
Nah, she's not much of an overreactor. I'm definitely the girl when it comes to GoT reactions... and pretty much everything else.
Starting season 7 with the wife tonight. She loves Arya but is kind of afraid of her. Her mind was blown about the Jon Snow revelation.
Tell her about how Arya was supposed to be killed in book 1 but Martin's wife loved her so he spared her. I've always suspected that's why her narrative strayed so far from the main storyline.
Almost done with a rewatch. Just got to S6E10. Random thought... now would be the opportune time to call ole Daario Naharis and the second suns no? He was right Fuck Mereen. They need sword but don’t think to call up that crew???
He doesn't advance the story anymore, say he shows up and what, create a contrived love triangle plot between Dani and Jon?
No he and the second sons serve the queen and help fight the giant army of dead people she didn’t just tell him to stay there. That entire portion of the army stayed behind
The end game is Jon vs NK (with Dani and Bran having some form of involvement too), the fodder groups for the most part doesn't matter, having 4k Unsullied vs having 8k really doesn't matter. If the tipping point in the Great War is the Second Sons then something went terribly wrong in the writers' room.
