One of the very few silver linings of being so shitty is not having to get worked up over bullshit calls.
She should be pissed at Frank for being stubborn and pulling PJ and Sin when Silva was out in foul trouble. Allowed Arkansas to go on that early run that really set the tone for the rest of the game.
AK has the most wins in our crappy program's history. We've consistently been slightly above average in the conference year in and year out under AK. He did most of that while coaching in the shittiest arena in major college basketball. There are plenty of jucos with better facilities than the Tad Pad. Now that we have a real arena expectations can change a little bit. He still deserves to coach a few years in The Pavilion before even considering a change. Our recruiting isn't great by any means, but he does have a fairly decent class coming in for next year.
We always win in Bud Walton. Arkansas with a big win last night. Rebs will win Saturday. We'll get excited. Then we'll lose the rest of our SEC games except for Mizzou to come crashing back to reality and .500. We're consistently inconsistent.
Jesus y'all have dominated us lately. Won 8 of the last 10 overall and 5 of the last 6 in Bud Walton Fuck you. Hope we have a repeat of the 2014 game where we made everything.
Billy coached it for 4-5 years or so and never seemed to help, like Cal needs any fucking help though
Billy Donovan always seemed like he preferred the non-HS stars to begin with though. Yeah he got a few like Brad Beal but he was mostly signing 3 and 4 star players.
Nick Calathes, Chandler Parsons, Jai Lucas, Kenny Boynton, Patric Young, Brad Beal, Chris Walker, Kasey Hill, Devin Robinson, Corey Brewer, Al Horford were all four stars in the top 40 or all 5 stars. It's not like he turned a bunch of diamonds in the rough to stars. He recruited at a high level.
In addition, guys like Mike Miller, David Lee, James White, Brent Nelson, etc were bigtime recruits, don't think they've got rankings from back then. Miller was the first real big get that kinda put Billy D on the map.
Billy was an awesome recruiter. Seems kinda backwards but irrc he did really well nationally at first and then zeroed in on Florida kids mostly during his later years. Did both very well
Pretty spot on, recognized we had to get better athletically and defensively after the continuous first weekend tourney exits. By the end of his tenure he'd shifted to blending the 4 year guys with elite guys like Beal, unfortunately the Kasey Hill Chris Walker class didn't live up to expectations.
Won't ever happen, but if Frank could keep all the kids from SC home we'd be fucking legit. In recent memory: Thornwell(Oak Hill) and Dozier(McDonalds AA) obviously came here. Brice Thompson (UNC), Seventh Woods (UNC), LJ Peak (Georgetown), Kris Jackson (Nova), Tevin Mack (Texas), Jaleek Felton (current class, UNC) Zion Williamson in the 18 class, and 4 guys in the 19 class ranked nationally in the top 100.
He's really good. He's gotten a lot of positive feedback so far for his in game commentary and studio analysis. Never would have thought that Boston boy would be good in front of a mic
Imagine giving up 50 points to Bama basketball in the first half. Johnny Jones is a special kind of terrible
Had to grind out a win at Miss St today, definitely not our best performance but fuck it. So many missed shots and turnovers by both teams, it was a pretty ugly game.
Love how Auburn continues to jack up awful 3's when they're down 14 ten minutes into the game. Solid coaching
Do they have another Ben Simmons coming in? That would have to be the only way they'd consider keeping him.
Hell they didn't even make the tournament when they had simmons. I don't even think that would be enough to save him.
they've got two signees that are borderline top 125 players that are both tweeners at 6'6 in Galen Alexander and Brandon Rachal. We gave Alexander a hard look. Not going to fix any of their big time front court issues or their back court issues. They'll still turn the ball over at an alarming rate and still won't be able to defend worth a shit.
that Maten knee injury didn't look good. Buckled back when Briscoe fell into his legs. Hope he's okay
