Hi Shawn, we have played Washington, Xavier, Duke, Arizona and play Dayton later today. We also have UAB on the road and NC State left.
You would be correct about that Shawn. That is our only loss of the season and Duke was the #1 team in the country at the time. Do you have any more brain busters?
Kentucky has played Duke - L Southern Illinois North Dakota VMI Winthrop TN State Monmouth UNCG Seton Hall - L No place to talk shit about schedule Shawn Hunter
Quade Green transferring out of Kentucky. Good kid but never seemed like a good fit at Kentucky. He's a good shot maker but inconsistent and he's useless if he's not making shots. Skillset was better for playing off ball at this level but he is too small to play anything resembling decent defense against SEC type competition. I imagine he could do really well in a mid-major league where he could play more on-ball as a PG.
The Quade transfer rumors were circulating in April when I posted about them itt. Don't feel sorry for him at all.
I haven't watched any Auburn games this year and don't remember much from last year, but given the # of assists he is putting up, I would assume Jared Harper is the primary PG for Auburn.
I was responding to your “too small to play defense” comment. Harper does not defend the opponent’s PG.
Is he also athletic? Quade certainly is not. And I'm sure you can count on one hand the # of short guys who can adequately defend SGs in high level D2 hoops. Quade couldn't even guard mediocre SGs on mediocre mid majors
I think Quade plays good defense tbh, but he is not explosive at all on offense. He only scores on spot jumpers, and wasn't very good at running an offense. To be fair, he wasn't turnover prone, but he was not a playmaker either. I think he will be a good 4 year college player. He was a big scorer in high school, but has been overshadowed by better guards at Kentucky. Hope he kills it wherever he goes. I commend him for staying and trying to win the starting guard spot, but I guess Cal prefers Hagans.
UGA was up 18 on Arizona ST and has since turned the ball over on nearly every possession to watch the lead fall to 9. So frustrating and typical.
Big game tonight vs cincy. Going to see what this team is made of. Bigger question is how many fans are going to show up.
Nice win for MSU. 70-59 over Cincy. Physical game and the entire team played well. Excited to have a good team again.
For some reason we continue to play games in Little Rock which have no streaming or TV capabilities and we continue to play like ass there regardless of sport. I fucking hate that city
The hump finally felt like it was back tonight. The atmosphere made a difference. An enjoyable game to watch live.
I've never understood why our 1 Little Rock game isn't televised. At least there wasn't a clock malfunction.
Apparently it's too much of a hassle to move all the broadcast shit from Fayetteville to Little Rock so they don't do it. We make like $60 million annually from the fucking SEC network. Maybe buy some extra equipment or something to stream it. I watched some dudes periscope stream and Todd Day's big ass kept standing up in front of him to block the view.
I watched Kentucky beat UNC with my parents today. My mom doesn't know anything about sports beyond Tennessee, but she hates North Carolina for the cheating scandal where the players took fake classes. I had to pitch her on the idea that paying college players is justified, but robbing them of an education so they can practice more is morally wrong. She also said Kentucky looks really good in spurts.
We need Lamonte Turner to get his shoulder right. Turner is the smallest guy UT plays but he is their heart.
Lots of excitement in this thread going into conference play. We did not have anywhere near the Nov/Dec we had as a group last year.
So let me get this straight. Kentucky plays every conference game on Saturdays and Tuesdays. They play 0 Wednesday games. Meanwhile every one of their Saturday opponents plays on the Wednesday prior. Just a free built in rest and preparation day for every Saturday opponent except the opener this weekend. Vandy Auburn x2 UF x2 State UT x2
Wednesday-Saturday is more prep/rest time for midweek games than Tuesday-Saturday. This is not difficult to understand. If y'all don't like playing Wednesday games then get consistently better so you can get more Tuesday night ESPN games.
Can you not see the difference? Both teams that play on Wednesday have the same time off because they played on Saturday. Kentucky gets the same prep time as it's opponents on Tuesdays. The advantage is Kentucky gets an extra day on every single Saturday opponent. This has nothing to do with Georgia getting an extra day to prep for South Carolina for a Wednesday game than Kentucky got for a Tuesday game against Vanderbilt. Because all 4 teams played Saturday. It's the extra day Kentucky gets every Saturday game against it's opponent. I don't know why I cared enough to type that out to you. I have a feeling you still won't get it.
