I don't know. That guy is known for being conservative. I didn't listen to the podcast. I guess he caught wind of it and believed the rumor had enough air to mention it on the weekly Volquest (Rivals) pod
I’d be mad in general but certainly wouldn’t blame Frank. I’ll pull for him pretty much the rest of his career, regardless of where he is.
Same. If he left I'd take it as an indictment of our jackwagon fanbase complaining when he doesn't win every game. Just meant I'm excited about next year's roster and any year's roster in general with him coaching. He's shown over and over that he can get a team to perform
Lots of rumblings that we are working on getting things together to terminate Mike Anderson. I’ve been hearing this for a while, but it’s hard to know what our new AD will do since he hasn’t really had to make a decision like this yet. There’s some boosters that have been very vocal about wanting him gone but there’s some hesitancy to do it because of another buyout (even though it’s only a million) because of Bielema’s massive buyout. There was some talk a few weeks ago that Mike may get another year if he replaced his assistants, but he’s too loyal and won’t do that.
If Andy Kennedy came here it'd be awk because I remember the student section chanting "DUI! DUI!" at him here one time
This is kind of why I'd see AK as a weird fit, aside from the fact he'd be taking over his best friend's job. People get after Frank for not winning enough, and AK, while a quality coach, has just the two NCAA tournament trips on the resume. Would seem like a tough sell, despite all of AK's positives.
Gravett has made huge strides in his career, for sure. But he is, at his core, a shitty fucking basketball player who makes really stupid decisions and mistakes at really bad times.
