idk that Auburn is that solid losing Brown, Harper, and Okeke. I think they will probably make it, though
Florida is probably a bubble team, really depends on if nembhard comes back and how much the freshman class impacts the squad. We are hurting for able pfs and centers
2019-2020 Vols OOC games Emerald Coast Classic - Tennessee will play two games in the four-team bracket, with Purdue, Florida State and VCU also in the field. Washington? TBD - This one hasn't been officially announced, but sources say it’s happening and it will likely be a neutral-site game played in … Toronto Dec 14 vs Memphis Dec 18 @ Cincinnati Dec 28 vs Wisconsin
If we land Kyree Walker this summer and he reclassifies to 2019 to fill that wing scorer void we’ve got I think we are a top 20-25 team. Added 3 quality transfers in Isaiah Moss, Jeantal Cylla, and Conner Vanover and return Isaiah Joe, Mason Jones, Desi Sills and Reggie Chaney.
Damn at our OOC if that Washington game gets scheduled. Should help us on the bubble if we could steal a game like that Update from our basketball mod - Yes they are going to play, will be neutral site as part of an event. Look for formal announcement sometime in next few weeks
We just landed our 4th transfer in G JD Notae of Jacksonville. Averaged 15.5ppg and 6rpg as a sophomore.
That makes sense. The Big XII/SEC lineup was announced at this time last year. May 24. And it goes in two year increments, right? Mizzou, LSU, Auburn, and SCar missed the last two years.
I really hope I can score Tennessee vs Memphis tickets in Knoxville this year and in Nashville next year.
lmao I have no idea what we’re doing. We need to lose at least one more (with Garland not going to be able to play) and we are still super thin on the front line Not very often a kid transfers back to a school he played his freshman year
FYI #Arkansas Razorbacks ^^^ My guess is Justice Hill goes on football scholarship or Jalen Harris bounces. Our guard rotation is loaded. Our front court is not.
Our insiders claimed he was told by NBA scouts if he improved parts of his game he has the talent to be a lottery pick next year. Our insiders are also notably dumb.
Seems we may add a transfer 5* PG Javon Quinerly from Villanova. He'd sit a year though, but it would be a nice get.
We were exploring him but didn’t like something and moved on and took Whitt instead. Talent is there with Quinerly, but not sure what it is that’s holding him back.
I’ll always be salty about losing Perry to Miss State. It definitely cost MA his job because we needed a 4 sooooo badly. Him and Gafford would have been unreal.
Y’all should all post your projected lineups and roster next year and give an idea of what we’re looking like as a league next season. Feel like there’s been so much change this offseason.
For Arkansas... * denotes a returning player, + is an incoming transfer player projected starters: PG: 6’3” Jimmy Whitt+ G: 6’5” Isaiah Joe* G: 6’5” Isaiah Moss+ F: 6’7” Reggie Chaney* F: 6’8” Jeantal Cylla+ Bench: G: 6’3” Jalen Harris*, 6’1” Desi Sills*, 5’11” Justice Hill, and 6’3” JD Notae+ (will have to sit a year) G/F: 6’6” Mason Jones* F: 6’8” Gabe Osabouien* (fuck), 6’7” Adrio Bailey*, 6’8” Ethan Henderson*, 7’3” Conner Vanover+ (applying for waiver to play immediately) We will run and shoot 3’s like crazy. Hoping Ethan makes a big jump so we have some front line depth... but Chaney and Cylla are both good. Justice Hill is potentially going to pay his own way so that he can play both football and basketball. Otherwise we’ll need to lose one of him or Jalen Harris. Newcomer info: - Jimmy Whitt averaged 12.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, and 4 apg for SMU last season. Played his freshman year at Arkansas before transferring out, now returns for his grad transfer year. - Isaiah Moss averaged 9.2 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.8 apg at Iowa last season. Was highly sought after among grad transfers. - Jeantal Cylla averaged 13.7 ppg and 4.6 rpg for UNC Wilmington last season. He’s a Sr grad transfer. - Conner Vanover averaged 7.5 ppg and 3.0 rpg as a true freshman for Cal but really came on at the end of the season. - JD Notae averaged 15.5 ppg, 6.2 rpg, and 3.4 apg for Jacksonville University in the SoCon and won freshman of the year in 2018. Averaged over 15 each season. Will be a RS Jr next season when he’s eligible
South Carolina.... Key departures: Chris Silva, Hassani Gravett, Tre Campbell Projected starters: PG: 6’3” Jair Bolden(transfer) avg 11.2 at GWU G: 6’6” AJ Lawson G/F: 6’5” Justin Minaya F: 6’11” Maik Kotsar(fuck) F: 6’9” Micaiah Henry(transfer) 9.7 pts 4.7 reb 1.8 bpg at Tenn Tech Bench: G: 6’2” TJ Moss(FR due to injury), 6’4” Jermaine Couisnard(FR due to being ineligible), 6’2” Trae Hannibal(True FR) F: 6’6” Keyshawn Bryant(SO), 6’6” Alanzo Frink(SO), 6’8” Jalyn McCreary(True FR), 6’10” Wildens Leveque(True FR), 6’7” Trey Anderson (True FR) Jair Bolden is supposed to be an instant scorer and should allow AJ to slide over into his more natural two guard spot. This backcourt should be one of the best in the SEC that really nobody knows about. I do worry about Bolden’s ability to play defense from what’s a vital position in Frank’s scheme. Getting Henry was a big deal for us as it gives us some production in the post. Henry really won’t have to score much if he can play defense and be a stick back artist for us. Getting Minaya back from a season lost to injury allows us to slide Bryant into a key bench piece for us. Minaya is a good shooter and really good defender in Frank’s system. We really missed him last year. Kotsar is terrible and has no confidence. I will say Frank finds a way to pull shit out of guys in their last year of eligibility. Let’s hope this year it’s Kotsar. Cousinard was on the team last year and was supposed to be our best freshman, but never gained eligibility. I doubt he’s better than Lawson but still should help. Hannibal is a bully guard who looks like he was born to play for Martin. A downhill driver and a guy that should be cracking serious minutes at some point in the season. Moss is limited physically. Leveque should end up being our next Silva type player and will be called upon to play plenty of minutes this year. He’s ultra talented but raw. Anderson and McCreary don’t project to get big minutes this season. Overall this team is going to score. I worry about the interior play. We’re an injury away from a bad situation there. I firmly believe this will be a tournament team and is the second most talented team Frank has had at UofSC.
Musselman loves them because he views them as free agency and gets the cherry pick guys that have produced at the college level rather than taking a risk on a bunch of HS kids that have a higher bust rate. He built his teams in Nevada that way because it was hard to draw HS talent to Reno and there was nothing in state for them to go after. 2020 will be much different with a bunch of big time guys we are in good shape on like Kyree Walker and his teammate Dalen Terry, and a couple in state guys in Chris Moore, Jaylin Williams. 2021 in state is very good too. 2019 just didn’t have any in state high major guys and it was already too late in the cycle to land anyone for 2019 since the signing period had already passed and the elite guys waiting to sign late we had no shot at. I guarantee he’ll take 1-2 grad transfers each year though
Nix Claxton enjoy the D league you stupid lanky fucker Huge loss for Georgia Anthony Edwards will put on a show though
Missouri - **MOST IMPORTANTLY.... DOWN TO JUST TWO (2) PLAYERS FROM THE KIM ANDERSON ERA! Also I think we're going to play a lot of small ball 1 in / 4 out this year PG - Dru Smith JR 6'3 Transfer from Evansville. (Best hair in the conference G - Mark Smith Jr 6'4 G - Torrance Watson So 6'5 G- Javon Picket So 6'5 F - Jeremiah Tilmon Bench - PG - Xavier Pinson So 6'2 G - Jimmy McKinney Fr 6'1 F - Tray Jackson Fr 6'9 F - Reed Nikko SR 6'10 F- Kobe Brown Fr 6'7 This is a shift to the hip new phrase of 'positionless basketball'. This team should be pretty good shooting, and rebounding. Idk how good defensively. Really it depends a lot on Tilmon and this finally being the year he learns to play without fouling every 3 seconds. Mizzou is really thin in the front court, so any injury is going to hurt. If Tray Jackson can play up to expectations, mizzou should be pretty decent / bubble team.
EJ Montgomery returning. There was legit fear that he would leave after Tony Delk, who has been training EJ, said EJ was leaning towards going pro.
Transfer departures per team in the SEC: Arkansas - 3 Texas A&M - 5 Missouri - 4 Ole Miss - 5 Miss State - 0 LSU - 2 Auburn - 1 Kentucky - 2 S. Carolina - 2 Tennessee - 1 Alabama- 6 Georgia - 4 Florida - 5 Vanderbilt - 2 Total: 42
