A&M had 3 transfers, not 5. 4 if you want to go back to in-season transfers. Get your shit together bertwing
The number for Auburn is not accurate either way. We had more than 1 transfer last year and none this year.
PG: J'von Mccormick(Sr), Tyrell Jones(Fr) SG: Samir Doughty(Sr), Jamal Johnson(So) SF: Issac Okoro(Fr), Allen Flanigan(Fr) PF: Danjel Purifoy(Sr), Jaylin Williams(Fr) C: Austin Wiley(Sr), Anfernee Mclemore(Sr), Babatunde Akingbola(Fr) We're expecting to take two more transfers/grad transfers. Hopefully a scorer and a 4/5 Really have no clue how we will look as a team. McCormick came in for Harper in the SEC tourney, and played really well all the way through March. So some fans are optimistic about him. Others have doubts if he can continue that level of play for an entire season running the point. Bruce hasn't given up on Wiley. Still thinks he's young and can reach his potential. I'm not so sure on that. I think he's an elite defensive center, and that's about it. Can't trust him to stay healthy either. Jamal Johnson is a transfer from Memphis we haven't seen play for us yet. Samir was solid at times for us last year. We'll need him to score more. Danjel played well in small minutes, in March. We have a lot of production to replace, someone is going to have to start taking more shots than they are used to. It really sucks we couldn't get Rayjon.
Our expectations have really been raised recently, so I want to say that it can be. It’s hard to miss the tournament these days. That said, it all depends how the team gels and who steps forward to become a scorer. I don’t see us running and gunning nearly as much as we did last season, so we will have to grind a lot more.
#Auburn Tigers you guys landed JUCO wing Javon Franklin today. He’s insanely athletic and really fun to watch. Would have been a hog if MA was still here, but oh well.
Former 5* cruit Seventh Woods is enrolled at South Carolina. He came crawling back from UNC and we accepted him as a walk on
We delayed Appleby’s visit that was supposed to be this past weekend because we feel like we’re landing Ithiel Horton tomorrow who visited last weekend. He averaged 13.2 ppg as a freshman. Appleby is nice though. Originally from Arkansas, so hopefully he plays like shit for his Jr and Sr season like Kevaughn... only to save his 28 point games for when he plays against Arkansas.
Ole Miss announced its non-con schedule. Highlights: -Butler in Oxford -At Memphis -At Wichita State -Preseason NIT vs. 2 of Oklahoma State, Syracuse and Penn State.
Three of the games January 4 and one December 8. Cool, what an organized, iconic and likely to be memorable event!
We told Appleby he needed to commit to us before he visited because we also told Horton to hold off. Appleby ends up at UF and Horton ends up at Pitt. Solid strategy there
Will be interesting to see if Pearl is charged with Head Coach Responsibility. It seems that is about the only thing that could come out, based on currently available info, that hasn’t already been charged or punished. It’s also worth noting that the statement comes from Auburn University’s victim statement, which was presented at Person’s sentencing. Auburn strongly emphasized it was a victim in Person’s scheme, and while it mentions a notice of allegations forthcoming, it could be referring to a notice that covers all the infractions and punishments already handled with no new information. Still, it’s Auburn. So we will get hammered here.
That’s seems to be to strategy schools are going with. That they were actually defrauded by these guys. Knowing the NCAA they’ll probably agree.
In Auburn’s case specifically, they have to take that stance. The argument has always been that Person acted as a rogue in a scheme that only benefited himself. So when playing the victim, you have to lay it on thick and show all the ways his actions hurt the school. Auburn’s situation is a little different from the rest because it doesn’t involve paying recruits. It’s still an NCAA violation, but they can make a stronger argument that there was no benefit to the school to be a part of his scheme where other schools can’t make the same argument with recruiting violations.
Oh he scared of the love mussel And at renewing that rivalry. God those games in the 90’s were fucking amazing
UT's official OOC games were announced today. Has to be one of the hardest in the country. Full SEC dates should be released later this month conference wide. Spoiler UNC-Asheville Murray St vs Washington (Toronto) Alabama St UTC vs FSU ( Emerald Coast Classic) vs VCU or Purdue Florida A&M Memphis @ Cincy Jacksonville St Wisconsin @ Kansas
Factor in how good the top of the SEC is this year and as a whole. Would have been a lot more fun had Williams and Bone came back.
