Even though Brentford are probably out most hated rivals, I’ve never met a Brentford fan so I don’t loathe them like the homegrown London fans do. I really like watching them this season and hope they gain auto promotion, as I’d rather not have to face them again in the playoff
What Brentford has done is pretty remarkable. The talent they have bought for cheap and sell at a higher rate is wild. Was watching something on them about how that is their only way to make money. I meant it as if West Brom beat Fulham they should have the promotion spot clinched assuming they can take care of the two crap teams they finish against.
They have weak competition in their last two games (#17 Stoke and last place Barnsley), but West Brom does as well (#20 Huddersfield and #16 QPR) so it's going to be tight
Best part of the Championship is QPR could totally come out and beat them 4-1 on the final day. But Brentford could also lose to Barnsley. Championship is weird like that.
There's nothing particularly interesting about them and they just spent years in the EPL. Would much rather see Brentford get auto promotion.
West Brom shows no ambition when they are up. Brentford throws in another London market team, rabid fanbase. Easy accessible stadium in a fun part of town too.
Brentford’s story is pretty cool as well. Did away with a youth system. Moving into a new stadium. Exiting you talent (if they don’t sell them). I have been rooting for them to come up for a couple seasons.
going to be an exciting afternoon If I were to bet I'd put my money on West Brom to win and get 2nd, but three possibilities for automatic promotion plus the drama at the bottom is really intriguing. The decision regarding Wigan's point deduction means that they need to beat us or they are relegated, so we know they'll open it up. Should mean plenty of chances for us, but could also open us up to get smoked.
